"The offer"?
What...like a financial offer as in the movie..or merely a suggestion for playing separately?

We saw this movie the day after we got married, and even back then we both said we would go for it!
My wife had a frennd of hers make one to here and she went for it!
Why not we all have or Fantasy's and thats mine.only if it was a couple I know, I'm a little srtange. Melinda
I remember seeing the movie, and I guess it's an individual situation for everybody, for sure.
I think the director did a pretty good job of having the characters express their emotion through the different stages of the "proposal" and subsequent acceptance of it.
Probably the thing that I remember most, is the agony, and torment that Woody Harrelson's character went through, after she went to seal the deal. He turned into a mess, thinking.. DAMN.. what have I done, and for what perveived loss of his wife, life, marriage and sanity?? Even though things turned out OK in the end.... It was Pretty intense stuff.
Probably over-thinking this whole thing, but it's something that could definitely trigger every emotion in all the parties involved, no matter what the payoff, and I guess I would certainly encourage anyone considering something like this to take literally EVERYTHING into consideration, no matter the smallest detail.
There.. I feel much better now.
