It seems odd to me that non-caucasians are relatively under-represented in this lifestyle. With African American and Hispanic/Latino populations approaching 30% of the population you would thing that would distribute across to our lifestyle but it doesn't. It would make an interesting thesis for college!

It's probably the state you live in, Utah. Believe me, in Florida there is a strong representation by african americans and latinos in the lifestyle community. Although I must admit, not many african american females.
Since it's largely a matter of personal choice, I obviously can't speak for anyone but us. We've always been very open to culteral diversity
While I don't know that other ethnicities are 'under-represented' necessarily, I *can* say we haven't come into contact with as many different types of people as we would be interested in.
It honestly seems to be such a matter of personal preference... it's almost as if people only actively seek out other types, based on desire to act out a specific fantasy. For example, black male/white female seems a fairly common fantasy...sns1 certainly enjoys it, as do her guests
Me, I love seeing her having fun - and I just like all sexy women, period

Well, we have been active over the western region so it is not just Utah. And I guess I am basing this more on profiles that are posted on the various lifestyle sites. I would be interested in what conclusions you came to on your paper. This wasn't meant to raised eyebrows, but raising eyebrows isn't bad all the time, nothing wrong with curiosity, ya know? Variety is the spice of life, but I guess I am preaching to the choir in this crowd, eh?

!/4 of all the people in Orlando can speak a language at birth??? Holly crap !!!!... JK
Thanks TREAL, that is interesting and I would have to say that what you represented as common perception of adultery in the lifestyle community does indeed mirror my own. I think of adultery as sex with another person without the consent of the marriage unit.
In my case I am atheistic and that certainly alters how I feel about many things. We started along this path due to my wifes bi-sexual curiosity.
I find sociology fascinating from a laymens level. I asked this question not to ruffle feathers, but out of a very real curiosity based on what I have seen. I find black females gorgeous for many reasons and have always wondered why there seems to be so few of them among us.. As I have found most lifestylers to be above average intelligence, I felt somewhat safe asking this question in this group.
I am the very definition of an American Mutt. I cannot find more than 12.5% of an one census defined ethnic group in my ancestry. However, I don't think that removes any heritage from my life. I think we all have familial heritage along with racial/ethnic heritage. What I don't have is a convenient racial/ethnic heritage to hang my hat on vis-a-vis "We're Germans and Germans just don't screw goats...that is an English thing". So my missing experience with someone who has a strong ethnic/racial heritage is just that....what roles and mores may exist in such a strong association.
So if I take and look at 100 random swing profiles (same race couples) I find (as I have done this) that the caucasian and asian ethnicities are roughly at or better than our societies population percentages then latino/hispanic (which is hard due to the very definition of latino or hispanic) who seem to be slightly below and the AA which are well below.
This is for couples only. I have not been interested in singles because, by the very definition that is a decision that is only the product of one persons concerns.
I have no interest in judging or valuing one ethnic group over another. Just simple curiosity. Thanks TREAL for responding to what I understand could be a question one might approach with caution.
Have a great one all!!

The are a bunch of every one, male female of all races here.. In fact the Afican American females seem to dominate the scene here at times.
COUPLE4 is that applied against the population percentages of your local socio macro environment or is that a casual observation. I say that because in college a fellow student that had come in from another area of the country remarked "There is nothing but Mexicans here!" To those of us that lived there all our lives it seemed to be a NORMAL amount of quote un-quote "Mexicans". Our professor had us all pick from a list of locations that he chose and we were to count the first 200 people we saw going past a certain point. What we found was that our area did have a higher percentage of latino people than the area this person came from, but not greatly so. His perception was altered by what he THOUGHT was normal. Another interesting phenomena was that unkown to us, we all tallied people at only 4 locations. The difference between what one person thought a "Mexican" and another person did was surprisingly substantial.
Interesting stuff. Some people can be threatened by it tho. We all stand a lot of emotional ground to gain and lose in these situations. Our growth as a society and people seems to be painful.

It's definitely Utah. Just watch any Jazz home game. It's the whitest crowd I have ever seen outside of LDS General Conference.
We are an interracial couple (BF/WM). We both have our preferences. She has mostly been with BM's and he has mostly been with WF's. Our general preferences are she prefers other than BM's and he prefers other than WF's. But, if we meet with a nice couple that has a WF and/or BM, that will not stop us from meeting them!!!!!!!!!!!!
