At Blue boutique they have a product specificly for washing toys
Some toys that are made of silicon need water based lubes and cleaner designed for silicon..if not the silicon will break down (dry cracking and then crumble).
we knew that there was an anwser somwhere you guys are great
drop me a line and I sell toys too and can hook you up, but here's the answer you are looking for, no matter where you buy the cleaner you are looking for!
Sex Toy Cleaner 101
always use an approved cleaner designed with sex toys in mind. NEVER use plain soap. Imagine, if you will, the nasty soap residue that is left behind on your shower walls, now imagine it left behind on your toy and where that toy goes next. ewwww. Soap in general acts as a drying agent and will shorten the life of your toy by creating small cracks (that can then harbor nasty bacterias) and more importantly harm your delicate insides. Sex toy cleaners are as unique as any other cleaner you purchase for your home. We all have cupboards full of project specific cleaners, tide for your clothes, joy for your dishes, bleach for your toilets etc. Each cleaner has a certain job in mind and has the ingredients best suited to fit your need, no, it won't kill you to use Toilet Duck on your dishes, but we know there is something that works best, right? Products that are designed to clean sex toys are made with the natural bacterias and the sensitivity of the vagina in mind and should be gentle yet powerful enough to save you from the misery of a bacterial infection. One that contains a moisturizer will actually benefit your toys too, keeping them supple and oft times removing the plastic smell of new toys.
Next, know your toys! Different toy ingredients have different needs. Some cleaners are not good with silicone and cyber skin needs its own type as well to insure long lasting toys.
Finally, and this isn't about cleaning them, but storing them. Keep each toy individually wrapped in ziploc bags (especially if you go a long time between usage) or better yet a satin bag. Lint from the sock drawer does not belong in your vagina! For toys that get regular usage you can have quicker access by storing them in shower caps. Always store your batteries outside of the battery compartment to eliminate battery acid leakage. Silicone toys may be the softest squishiest ones out there, but they do not play nice with other toys. Do NOT let them rest on another object/toy in your pleasure chest, as they will 'melt' and become unusable.
