It could be very handy to have a feature wherein people who will be traveling to an area away from home for a short time (business, vacation, seminars, family, etc.) could post the city and times they will be visiting. Other members can search by state in order to see who might be in the area and thereby offer some "hospitality" or company in a strange town.
