Swingers Forum - Recruiting "Vanilla" Friends.

Interesting thought....

Have you ever tried to recruit some of your "vanilla (non-swinger)" friends? And how did that turn out?

I know some people are offended by the idea.
I know some people are out there like missionaries.

What's the group take on this?

Can the masses handle it?
Or are the masses already into it?

we have had some luck but we are very selective and test the water over and over before pitching the idea to them. now some of our favorites are those we recruted. so long as you are tactful and the offer is extended sincerely, we have had favorable results.
Gotta admit...We do like to recruit, BUT it is mostly singles we recruit...

sorta different, DON....LOL, recruiting or telling, seems different to me. ;)
We had a "vanilla" friend that actually was the guy that introduced it to Stitch, or dropped the bomb that couples do this sorta thing. We were young and nieve (24). He came back from a trip to Vegas where they had attended a work convention and clued me in on this wierd choice of sexual fun. After talking about it for awhile we decided what the hell, lets try it, and down to Vegas we went. The friend who brought it up to us, wasn't in the lifestyle, and had never even tried it, or talked about it with his wife, but wanted to.
A few years now have gone by.....hehe we are 30 now and still involved in the fun, about a year ago, the friend and his wife joined in on some fun one night, and well, I guess you can say we recruited them.....but yet he brought it up 6 years earlier....so maybe he recruited us (just without being a part of it).....lol

Wasn't complaining... I just it fit the other subject enough to consolidate. No big deal. I was just wondering why KB moved his post. He originally had it in the other thread.

While I am here, I will post something regarding this topic. I think if you see a legitimate interest from a friend, you should facilitate. Bottom line is, they'll eventually try it if there is interest. Why not help them through the akward beginning. After all, what are friends for? As with anything, situation dictates. I wouldn't recommend trying to recruit at church (if you go) and I wouldn't recruit at you job (unless you work in the sex industry).

TR,

Yes it's close, but not on the other thread. I just wanted to start up the topic on its own.

There are many I've wanted to or thought about pulling into the lifestyle...but have refrained. In the end, these friendships meant more to than the possibility of losing them. Although, I'm sure most of them knew about my lifestyle choice.

If your friendship hangs on the balance of your sexual habits, then I would re-evaluate the friendship's importance. This is our opinion of course. Have to put that line in there for the forum police HAHAHA!
