After reading recent posts and some of my own experiences, I'm wondering if drugging or spiking drinks is a common thing?

How many here have experienced this? How many who have are willing to speak publicly about?

This type of thing really isn't common in the lifestyle is it?

We've been active for the past 12 years and have never heard of it -- here, there or anywhere including our travels.

It's pretty rare. Been around for a few years and have never seen or heard of it happening to any of my friends.

Over drinking and losing control? Unfortunately common.

Haven't seen anyone getting drugged ourselves, but we've seen plenty of people drink way more than they should and do things they'd regret if they could remember them in the morning. We are always careful when we go out though and watch out for our friends just in case as we are well aware there are people out there that will do things like that.

Has never happend to us.Dont know why any one would want to drug the willing lol.

While not common in neither the lifestyle nor the non-lifestyle crowd, I would venture a guess that statistically speaking, it is more common in the non-lifestyle crowd in the clubs and the bars. UTLUV give excellent advice to club nubiles...but also to ANYONE who ventures into the social scene. Guys..protect your ladies, ladies...protect yourselves, watch your drink, and never accept drinks from strangers (or candy for that matter

).

We've only come across one couple friends that has had a similar situation, but didn't have an adverse outcome, thank God...they both realized what had happened before it was too late, and of course...the night was done.

One aspect that most are forgetting is the desire to self medicate. I have been to parties (and left quickly thereafter!) where Ecstasy was being used and passed around. The users were not being tricked into taking it rather, they were taking it to increase the effects of the evening.

There is also GHB taken in combination with E. GHB is the more dangerous of the two. I have seen people drugged on GHB and it is not always pretty.

The same holds true for your purse as your drink. Don't put it down, don't leave it alone, and don't give it to a stranger to hold.

For those self-medicating (I'm not judging!), please let the other people know you are self-medicating so they can make an informed decision whether to get involved or not.

It's never happened to us or anyone we know (that we know of) For many Swingers we trust only people in the lifestyle to know that we are Swingers, but still have to be cautious of who can gain that trust. It shocks me that anyone would try to offend the trust through drugging. We will continue to trust those who know us and consider you friends! I'll even share my drink with you.

We've never actually seen it happen in person, nor do we personally know anyone it's happened to. There are those that say they it's happened, but in our experience we've never actually witnessed it with the parties or crowd we hang with. More than a "lifestyle thing" it may simply be more of a "certain crowd" thing.

I've been in this lifstyle for almost 5 years and have never seen it either. Not to say it never happens. I've just never encountered it at any gatherings. And it may not even be a "certain crowd" but a peticular individual/s who need to be identified for the safety of all. Vigilance not fear should be the guide.

I think that this is a very important subject and a very touchy issue. Things are gonna happen rather comments are posted here or not. Everyone has their weaknesses and some weaknesses are of those who feel the need to drug those who dont necessarly care to be.

I have never witnesses anyone getting drugged and have never heard from a friend that they have. This is not something that I would classify as "normal" within the life style. For those that I have had the pleasure to meet have respected me enough to accept my wishes if I choose not to go to the next level--what ever that may be- or choose to remain friends.

I agree for the most part with what I have read.. Get your own drink or have a spouse/other get it for you. Dont leave it with someone other then that person. Bring a friend with you... never go solo.. Its a catch 22 if you ask me..Some of the worst things happen to the one who plans the safest and does everything by the book..

Being cautious is the key. Its not only a drink issue. Take care all!

And here I was told masterbation caused blindness, hmm a connection maybe?..lol

Plus if tabacco and alcohol are not allowed to advertise then why are the gaint drug PUSHERS(lilley, Pfizer. and other"just ask your doctor" pharmacuetical companies)allowed to do so. Think about it, there's a mixed message to "just say no to drugs" and "buy Excedrine!"
