We're a longtime guest finally turned member. I've just have a few questions and suggestions for instant: Where is yahoo chat online thing? Pretty simple anchor link on profiles:

the yahoo thing was removed by the admin because someone was under the impression that yahoo had taken the status monitoring away..
FYI yahoo did not take that away.. many other sites use the Yahoo status without issue so not sure why it caused such an issue (supposed slow downs) on this site...
As for the booty call section.... your preachin to the choir on that one.. We suggested something along the lines of that many moons ago and got no response.

Uh... Anchor tags in HTML have nothing to do with the "swingular" server. It's a function of the Browser to make the link. It makes no call backs to the server that delivered the HTML.
I'm beginning to think this site has something against the word "Yahoo" too. In your profile descriptions, if you even mention the word "Yahoo" it deletes it. Good Grief.

I know that here have been several threads started in the forum whereby people may submit their Yahoo ID's so that others may contact them, as there was an issue with the Yahoo link over a year ago from this site.
As for the Yahoo getting deleted from profiles, perhaps it was done in the best interest of the site in order to prevent people from signing up for a free trial account and getting the benefits of hooking up using Yahoo instead of this site before the free trial expired?

I have been on other chat forums where if you typed in your yahoo ID, or even mentioned Yahoo, it was promptly replaced with the phrase "camel piss". Apparently there are those who maintain animosity towards Yahoo? lol
I think the "Booty Call" feature would be just nifty though.

I'm no marketing genius, but reducing members ability to communicate with each other for the sake of mis-managed guest profiles to me is site feature degrading.
Two days ago, (when I joined) had I known there was no Instant message and it was actively destroyed, I wouldn't have joined.
I joined because there were Communications that I percieved I was missing and I wanted to get them. I was wrong.
As for the business to business thing, I'm unaware of the history there...

I Know that anchor tags in HTML have nothing to do with the "swingular" server. however that was the email that we had all received quite a few months back.. something about the servers were running slow and they couldn't figure out what was causing it then they said they somehow thought it was something to do with the Status indicators from yahoo.
I thought it was a crock back then but who am I?? every other "site we belong to has some type of IM service whether a built in one or piggy backing Yahoo, AIM, ICQ or MSN
Go figure..

I don't know how they implemented the status indicator before. The only way I can imagine the yahoo status indicator thing effecting the Swingular Server would be if the Swingular site itself was making the status call to Yahoo (for what purpose I have no idea except to maybe show a custom online/offline icon). But why bother doing that, let everyone's browser make the call and whats so bad about the yahoo status icon.
Anyways, yep the "price" was right for joining. Please don't percieve my yahoo on swingular grief as swingular site bashing. I'm not. I feel this site could become better by delievering the "coming soon" features (at least tell us a date) and solving the IM issue.

This site is pretty inexpensive. Life-time membership is cheap and i've met a few people on here. I've gotten plenty of bang for my buck. The small inconveniences are well worth it. Give the site a few months and you probably will agree.
Its nice to have that info bar that tells you, you have mail, number of members online, etc.
But i was thinking in order to boost group activity, that bar should also inform you of new group posts, members, and bulletins
