We looked at all the pictures from past Spice parties and we noticed that all the pictures are of how would we say this pretty much slimmer people. Is this a fact and would this not be a good party for people like us not to attend. or was it that the pictures that just happen to make it to the posting where of those people built that way. We dont want to stir anything or start any drama so please feel free to e-mail us with answer if you prefer. thank you everyone and have a wonderful new year!!!!

We Have Attended, and yes I am one Very Big Man. I have even won a contest there for my "Tool Man" Costume. So I don't think that the parties are just for the Svelte. But you have to figure With age comes less tolerance to loud music. That being said: Then I must be too old for the "Rock And Roll". We even love the New Style of music, Just not played and the Speed Of Sound. BOOOOM there goes another Sonic Fly over. So attend one and see for your Self. Then if you no "Likey" , Don't go again! "The Too Old, Half Deaf, Tool Man
Warning: opinions may follow....
Your perception isn't completely wrong. The people in the foreground of the pictures on that website are of the 'beautiful people'- look deeper into the corners and you might see some normal people- maybe a little bit of gray hair, perhaps someone eating something other than celery and Diet Coke.
Our experience with a Spice Party is that there are an inordinate number of 21-26 year old bottle-blonde undernourished women standing in one corner of the dance floor sneering at anyone that is different- old, fat, brunette, etc.
There are also some good people there, but these parties have always seemed to be for the hipster crowd, which is why we avoid them, as we are anything but hip.
But the Spice Party hosts will certainly be here soon to say that everyone is welcome, etc.
You should probably attend one to find out for yourself though.... My opinion can be sometimes be a little bit biased.
These are my opinions based on our experiences. If it offends anyone, please accept my apologies.

I would not be so quick to judge....sorry I forgot your handle.....
Don't start passing judgment on the parties until you attend one.
The pictures were probably taken by people at the party, not by someone going around picking out certain people.....its not their fault that the other people sent in heir pics to be posted. If you take a look at www.thespiceparty.com and look at the pictures there....you will see you are very mistaken about the "skinny, celery eating people attending". There are some that have an "extra few" and look great doing so.
Oh, and BTW.....so a lover of the Tool Guy.....I have such a infatuation with you:-) We miss you guys!

I can vouch for the fact that there are fat, bald, not so attractive people who go to the Spice parties... just look at our profile... (HYM, not Cyn). We go. There is only one draw back, and its one that I am sure Rob has trouble with. Finding a good venue to host the party. The Venue, or club can make or break the party. No need to go on about the pros and cons of having a good place, we all know the reasoning behind that. The parties need a good blend of all ages, shapes, sizes and personalities to be successful. There has to be a balance.
(just our point of view)

The parites would be alot more fun for us if we got to see you again.

Mr. HYM~
The parties are going to be what you make them. If you go with the preconceived notion that everyone else that attends is thinner and better looking than you, you probably shouldn't have come in the first place. But, if you go with the intention of meeting new people and having a good time, then you made the right choice. For all of those that haven't attended a party yet, come out and see for yourself that they
We know quite well what to expect from a party. At most of the parties we go to, the crowd is generally accepting, the hosts come around at at least say hello, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.
Spice parties have been different than that for us. We're not 'fat' or even 'old'. We are comfortable being normal- we are a bit older, a bit heavier, and have careers and kids.
The only time we have met the hosts of the Spice parties was at the door, as they collected our money. At many other parties (bar parties as well as house parties) we have met, chatted and really gotten to know the hosts.
Again, we know what we're looking for, and it's not the Spice parties. The original post brought up some questions and concerns that I agreed with. It's my opinion and you don't have to share it.
