First off this is a great site that is easy to navigate with nice features.
My suggestion is about the email system. If you have mail at Swingular notices were sent to user's primary email address this would get user to sign in more often and likely lead to more participation. There are many similar sites that do this currently. The fact is that people sign up for so many boards they often forget which ones they are members of, this is evident when you view the last activity date on many profiles. However users should be able to turn off this feature if they wish also so that everyone is happy.
