Anyone going? This is our first cruise, does anyone have any advice for us. Know of any fun things to do? We're going to fly into Puerto Rico for a few days then we are off to Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten and St. Thomas. We would love any good advice on what and what not to do. Thanks for the info....Kisses
The nude beach in St Martin is great and the scuba diving in Curaceo and Aruba is great also.
Good luck and have fun

Eat all you can its free, Drink as little as possible its expensive. Don't buy much to send home or bring with you, its a rip off in some ways. Get Laid as much as you can, and Please keep Your Arms And Legs Inside Until The Ride Comes To A Complete Stop. We will wait for you in Jamaica.
Aruba, the helmet dive is awesome..DO NOT go to the land bridge...It is broken and they do not tell you...
Curcacao (sp?) get a cabby to take you around the island...For $20 you cannot go wrong...
The others...Have not been....
P.S._ DO NOT rent a scooter...1/2 of them are broken, and the driving down in the islands is WAY different than here...PLUS...once you see what people drink on the ships...Then you see them driving the scooters..Not good...

Thanks for the heads up on the scooter's, that was one of our plans for Aruba.
In Aruba, we rented one...It would not turn left...Needless to say, we crashed...And he charged us a ton of money to fix it...We watched him put it over with the rest and rent it back out again...AFTER we and he both said it would not turn left...Rent a Jeep....MUCH better
I would have been SOOOO pissed. Thats scary that they can "rape" you like that. We will try to be super careful....THX
Aruba is OK, don't get caught on the other side of the bridge if you have to hurry to the ship, you will know what we are talking about when you get there. Shopping in St. Thomas is not all that. Items can be found for less money in the states unless you are shopping for black coral. Take a beach trip there unless you are a shopping nut, 2 hrs down "shoppers row" is about all you need. Actually you can get the same deals right where the ships tie up in the little village. St Martin - our favorite - Walk out to the end of the pier and grab a cab to Orient Beach. You will love it. It is about a 20 min ride. Have the driver drop you at the "Kon Tiki" bar/restaurant. Great place to eat and grap beach chairs. You will have to pay a few bucks for the chairs. The food is excellent. Just down form there, next to the nude beach, there are lockers to store stuff in should you want to para-sail or whatever. Save a little time to visit St Martin itself, alcohol is very very cheap (buy it here) and you can get great deals on fine jewelery - careful where you shop. If you want to know more, pls let us know, we do 3 -4 cruises a year and will be glad to share with you our thoughts. Have fun..
Booze Bill...
I saw some experienced cruise partiers bring their own booze on board by emptying a couple of large mouthwash bottles and filling them with Rum, Scotch or Tequila... what ever you like that sorta looks like the color of mouthwash!
They said it works every time. Helps with the drink bill... D

the booze "boot leggin'" works we take the plastic travelin fifths of rum and whiskey with us and refill in st Maartien. the best of the Islands is st Maartien but DON'T get sucked into a come listen to our presentation speach by the locals... ( it tates away from the nude beach and cuban cigar time
)

Thanks to everyone who left advice for us. We are now home and are very glad to be home. 10 days is a long time to be away from home and the kids. We had a GREAT time. It was a great time to reconnect with each other. The ship was AMAZING and the food was to die for. The shopping was so much fun on the islands. Hubby surprised me with an amazing ring. Snorkling was so much fun. We did go to Orient beach and visited the nude beach.............VERY FUN! Did take the advice not to rent scooters....I think we would have died! We cant wait to go again and plan to very soon. Look us up if anyone wants to plan a trip.
Kisses to everyone
