Other than the SLC spice party this weekend, are there any other club parties taking place? We are looking to get out Saturday or Sunday night, but haven't found anything going on yet, other than your normal dance club parties.

Well, we were thinking of goin to the Spice Party, but no one seems to be goin. So we have a sitter for the night/weekend and are also looking for something fun to do even if thats partying at someone's place......we dont care, we just need a night out with adults sense that doesnt happen often enough for us with 3 kids!
Count us in..Looks like a couple of us are planning to go to the 5th, another couple we know has been there and had a good time.

Well the 5th sounds like it will be fun so for the time being we are looking at two places to go. cplparty (cant member the whole handle) we feel much the same way. Feel way out of place, even though Tish is bi its just like us men are accessories. So we will let ya know what we are doin and you can come party with us if you like.

We welcome the Spice Parties and very happy to see the added spice to our community. The ones here who like to knock them because maybe they make a few dollars are ridiculous. Do you expect them to go to all that work for nothing? We believe they should be supported by all here in the lifestyle whether or not you attend their parties. If the small fee they charge is out of your budget maybe you could try the LDS church dances they are free.

Wow ! People are complaining about bi women at the Spice Parties & having to get out a ten dollar bill cover charge. Seems to me it will be a better party without them. Besides if the ten dollars is tough how are they going to round $2.00 for a beer to share.
Wow, I didn't expect this topic to drum up such controversy. We think the Spice parties are great, but unfortunately we won't be attending this one. We know that there is a lot of hard work that goes into the planning, and orchestration for this kind of event. Within this string, we have heard pros and cons about the parties, and like all events, it is difficult to please each and every individual that attends. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, so lets just say that it is understood that the Spice parties are not everyone's cup of tea, and leave it at that.
If this was my sight I would ban everybody who knocks this whole thing. Even if you don't like the parties for hell sakes keep it to yourself. We are lucky to have people who are willing to spend their time & money on the gamble that maybe this kind of thing may work here in this Morman enviroment. I say lets toast & cheer Rob & Jen for their hard work and wish them all the success & money they can possibly make.
Hey all you sexy people.........we were supposed to go to Vegas for New Year's, but have run into an extended family emergency. Soooo, we will be in town for New Year's & leaving the day after. Funny, I don't ever see the people who like to whine make any effort to organize anything better. Pretty simple, if you don't like them, don't go. Geez, it's not a contest, just some nice people doing something fun for a bunch of nice people and doing a great job at it. Lots better than I could ever do. Kind of like the bitches I always hear shooting off their mouth about the clothes they see other women wearing but then they themselves look like their outfit came right out of the clothes hamper.
Okay, I'm done, just had to let off some steam. When you work for the airlines, this time of year helps you build up a lot of that.

Ooops, almost forgot. Hey DCC, I heard that the Treehouse is getting rid of the stuffy reputation and hosting a party for Draper residents. Instead of the usual Saturday "Healthy Draper Days' they are hosting a "Happy Draper Days" instead. Enjoy

We are in the exact same situation as Hym/Cyn. Looking for ideas, hoping something comes up. We would throw a little party, but we have nowhere to hide these kids for the night.

I say if you don't like something, this is the place to say it. That's what the forums are here for. I think it's healthy to hear both sides. It helps you make a wiser decision. I think that's how things like movie reviews came about. Remember, we are not all the same in our tastes, preferences or anything for that matter. Some people have difficulty understanding this.
A club/party's atmosphere says a lot. Especially if you've already been there and done it. Some people think they need to belittle or chastise you for what you equate to fun when you go out. I think you should be able express your opinion about a place you've spent your money on. However, if all you've ever done is heard mixed reviews of a parties/clubs and never have attended the functions, you should attend one to give a fair review or be silent and not make presumptuous remarks. The old adage "Never judge a book by its cover" applies.
I recommend the Spice Parties to those who don't mind spending a little more dosch when they go out. As the events don't occur regularly, it shouldn't be a huge deal to at least give it a try once. We did. We had good fun. However, we are a little more frugal when we go out and prefer a different scene. Everyone has a different idea of fun. Just my opinion!

Maybe its that we dont belong to the same fashionista crowd, or are not in the same socio-economic class as others or maybe we are just ugly to some of the couples (wives) and therefore dont get any play. Spice parties are fun, just as are other parties. Just as some parties are not for everyone the same stands for Spice parties. Cant we all just get along.
