We attended a so call xmas party at a local swing club, and payed 25 dollars to get in. The place was so cheap that it did not even have a xmas tree, or any kind of season decoration.
There was no food, of any kind, and the bar looked as thou it had not been properly stocked in years. I am afraid of what the place would really look like in the light of day. Has any-one else had this experience with clubs that display a great advertisment, only to be let down when you finally get to the establishment and find that it is not as great as it sounds. The one good thing thou was that the people attending the party really made it great. For the most part the dance music was outstanding, but the patrons provided the atmosphere, and made the show.

Haven't been to a club in Florida yet. But even in our state some swing clubs are not quite what they seem. Esspecially when they charge you a bit of money, makes you wonder what they are really spending the funds on? Not saying we are cheap or whatever, but in our area we found the only establishment worth going to and having a blast in is up in Charlotte. Cost you $60 to attend but food is provided, its a BYOB and for the size of the place definitely worth the time and money. Just a thought.

Tampa is, by far, better than the Orlando area - Adult Theater district of "Drew Park" as well as the On premise Clubs. Ft. Lauderdale is the king of the On Premise Clubs - worth every minute of the drive from the Orlando area.

Of all the Swing Clubs that we have attended Trapeze in Fort Lauderdale is our favorite. The place is large and clean, food is Great, staff are always friendly and the patrons are very sexy and beautiful. We will be there New Years Eve and bring it in with a BANG.
