As a matter of Swingular’s etiquette, even if you’re a 10/10, sending a friend request without a message is still obnoxious—unless, of course, you sent it by mistake. Just saying… lol.
We feel this goes beyond swingular. We get these request on other sites, Facebook, etc. We get really confused when they are not local. Why not send a quick note to help explain why the request. Even if it's I am a voyeur and want to see your pictures. Something! But really there needs to be more informative classes or licensee before you can swing 😂!

lol. Sending a request without a note or message is not a big deal. You can read their profile and see more than a “note” and decide if you want to move on with the request. What gets me are the blank profiles, no public then more then often no private photos. I can take 30 seconds to read the profile and decide without reading a cover letter.

Friend request without notes dont bother us. We may or may not accept but we dont find it annoying. Would rather get friends request if interested than no message at all.

What's the appropriate etiquette for folks that send friend requests that are accepted but then don't seem to have any interest in communicating. Is it inappropriate to "unfriend" after a month or two if you don't hear from them?
We don’t accept blind requests, too many single males collecting photos….we consider is somewhat rude to at least not say hi!

I wouldn’t read too much into it. I think of a blind friend request as nothing more than someone showing interest. I can always vet their profile and gauge if that interest goes both ways. If not, I can decline/ignore and move on—simple. Unless you’re looking for something specific, a note generally is not required.
That said, a BFR from an empty profile (no bio, no pictures=no effort) will be ignored every time.

I usually try to talk to someone once or twice before sending a friend request. As a single male, I know the first thing is respect, attractiveness, and just enjoying the time with others.
