Is there any way to change my account from single male to a couple account? In a relationship and we’d like to explore, but I don’t want to pay for a new account when I already have this one.

Try calling the number that’s hidden somewhere on this website under the “customer service” tabs. It’s your only real chance to change it (if they answer). Most haven’t had any luck, a few have.
I would prepare a verification pic of both of you together with your screen name and the date on a piece of paper. They will probably require that if you’re wanting to change profiles from single to couple. Not sure.

It is me! Took a long break from the LS and just wanting to find some people to introduce us to the LS as a couple

There isn't. You have to create an entirely new account, or make it known in your BIO that you are actually a couple and post pictures of both of you.
Point them our way if you figure it out. We have been trying for almost a year now.
