Being a single male, I’ll often have couples reach out to me but their profile is set up to not let single males message them. With this, I’m left not being able to respond to their messages. Does anybody have any ideas to get around this? Feels like if a couple proactively reaches out it should let the SM respond

Ummm. If they reach out and start an email convo with you, it should let you respond. I'm pretty sure it's always worked that way for me.
Agreed this is a limitation of the site. Have you tried both on the website as well as mobile? Just curious if they are different!

Awe Yes, you are correct Utahldscouple. I forgot about that. My bad, that absolutely makes no sense then. I'd be highly annoyed like the OP.
Couples reaching out to SMs that have them blocked should send contact info to the SM to text, kik, etc. Maybe SMs should post that up in your bio as a reminder. ?? Just a thought.
I've had this happen a few times as well, it's very frustrating. I don't think a lot of people realize they have SMs blocked, or they don't understand SMs can't respond when blocked, even if you message us.
No wonder! I just had a couple reach out to me...I responded and then nothing. I wonder if that's why I have such bad luck on here. I get way more hits on sls. I'll add that to my profile bio.
Hmm, this is interesting to me because from my perspective, I have single males blocked yet they still manage to message me just fine. 🤷🏼♀️

Weird! I know there’s a setting you can choose to make it so single men can’t message you.

Yep I’ve tried on both. Oh well if the couple that messaged me wants to chat hopefully they find a way
