We are travel agents (husband and wife team) that have booked Disney vacations and cruises for a few years. We have talked to the owner of our company, and have the go ahead to specialize in lifestyle travel. We are seeking input on whether or not this community actually utilizes a travel agent, or if you would consider it. With this input, we are hoping to get reasons why or, even more importantly, why not. We thought we would start a thread here and ask you all. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
This is a good question. We would be open to an LS based travel agent especially if we found upscale LS friendly places that didn’t charge the exorbitant LS tax (as we call it). We think it is better served to have hotel or cruise take overs with other couples than go on the “LS” sanctioned events. We like nice hotels and accommodations and feel most LS resorts and cruise lines are ⭐️⭐️⭐️ venues but charging ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ prices. And yes, everyone says it’s about the fun atmosphere etc but we have been successful creating our own with better accommodations for half the price. Putting some group options or opportunities out there would be amazing. As well as saying there are several LS couples (anonymity can still be kept) on these cruises or resorts at this time. That insight would be useful. Just our thoughts, if you want any help flushing ideas out, marketing, or insight just let us know!
If we do LS travel we want it to be a full takeover or an LS resort. We've been on trips where there's a group of LS people traveling with those who are not and almost always things are said/done around non-LS people that makes the trip uncomfortable.

The lifestyle is expensive. That is something we never expected coming in. That is one reason we are looking at doing this. Since we have a myriad of credentials, it would be a reasonably easy specialization for us. It will take us a little time to actually go and experience more lifestyle travel, so that we are comfortable in booking these types of trips.
