How come there hasn’t been a photo contest since 2020, but there is still a category for it in the main menu ?
Same reason this site is left to slowly die. The owners/admin have pretty much abandoned the site for upgrades and updates. Need new active owners. We have volunteered several times but no takers yet.

As someone that owns and operates several revenue generating websites I can tell you the only way to gain control of this website is to purchase it. This website still generates a nice cash stream for the owners and requires like upkeep, which is too bad because the website has a ton of potential and could really be a big asset to the LS community with the right ownership.
Going back a few decades when it was new, it was packed nightly with people in chat, on cam and making new friends from everywhere. There were monthly parties sponsored by Swingular that drew huge crowds. The possibilities this sight holds if properly maintained and managed are HUGE. I feel there would be plenty of support too if someone took interest.
Too bad an active volunteer administrator/administrators could not be appointed with permission of the owners. They could still bring in their profits, and we would get better community interaction. Sounds like the owners are pretty much MIA though.
Agree…this site is experiencing a slow death. We very seldom look at it anymore. Everyone in Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona & Nevada should switch to Kas - i - die.

Yes, I have been here long enough to recall many years ago when they promised many upcoming changes, additions, and improvements and instead nothing was delivered and the existing features slowly disappeared, as previously mentioned.
This site was once fun but it has over time become quite boring.

I remember that chats, they were fun
The simple fact we can't paste when typing a private message is ridiculous. just a few simple tweaks and fixes would make the site much better. I guess like anything else Facebook reddit are taking over. They have problems too. Security being one. Reddit has a big problem anybody can see what you do no matter what group you're in. Very valuable. Lots of flakes with free platforms
You would think if the site was monitored as it should be, the administrators would see this thread and at very least make a statement. Further proof that the site has been abandoned and they are just collecting the subscription revenues. Or they just don’t care and intentionally ignore it.

We have called the support number on the site and have spoken with the admin. We too remember how the site once was and wish it could be an active, fun hub once more!
So disappointing that the site is slowly dying off, especially for newbies coming in (like myself).
Is there another forum that folks are using now instead? I agree the issue with FB and Reddit is privacy and flakes - any other platforms out there work well for folks?

Careful with reddit, someone stole pics of us and other people from there and tried using them against us. Not all the pics were us. Not private enough.

It would be a good purchase for a group of like-minded friends. Not only would it be valuable to the community, it would generate decent revenue.

We are on kasidie and it seems to be fruitful everywhere but in Utah.
