Given our location, meeting in person is not always a practical option for us, especially now with our work project eating so much of our time and energy. Seems something like Zoom could be a good and easy alternative to get a feel for people.

Thanks, everyone. Surprised Zoom and similar methods is not talked about on these forums (at least from what we have seen). The more we think about it, the more it seems like the most sensical option for our particular situation. Might work well for other people and situations too.
Every time I get an email from work with a Zoom meeting link I feel like throwing my laptop out the fucking window while singing Ozzy Osborne backwards.
The chat feature has groups, private groups and video chat capabilities. We do not allow promotion of other alternative sources because we cannot protect our members outside of our platform.
