Well, from the looks of the trees in the mountains summer has about come to an end.
I say it's time to throw a "farewell to summer" beach party at the nude beach by Grantsville! Let's see how many of you sexy people we can get on the beach at one time! We hope to get a generator and some music there so after a day in the sun, we can dance naked around the campfire at night. *wink*
Anyone interested please reply and I'll be happy to give you directions. I'm also open to suggestions and, of course, willing to accept all the help I can get!

Okay, way better response than expected so here are the directions for everyone interested:
Take I-80 west to the 2nd Grantsville exit (you'll see the salt plant) and take the road west across the railroad tracks. The road turns north and you follow that for 6 or 8 miles and then you'll see a sign on the left for Broken Arrow. Turn west on that road and after about a mile you'll see on the right where everyone drives out onto the sand. Cars and trucks can make it this way without a problem.
We're looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Well well........I am surprised that there is a nude beach in northern UTAH....Now here in lil ole moab, we have several nude beaches...but they are all littered with foreigners, so they really arent any fun!!
But we are definitely interested, so is this a picnic kinda thing....bring your chairs and coolers and....huh suits?? about what time will everyone be showing up?

Definitely bringing the BBQ grill, cooler, chairs and tent to spend the night. I personally am planning on getting there around 3 so that it's on the cooling down side of things. (Don't want to burn my white backside too bad!)
I will also be bringing along some firewood and if anyone else could bring some too it would be greatly appreciated.

This isn't the famous nude beach of the Great Salt Lake that is notorious for being busted by the cops....AND notorious for being a gay beach too is it? The nude gay beach is the only one that I've heard of....any thoughts?

In fact, the only reason why I brought it up is due to the fact that being raised in Utah, I have heard of this beach often. In fact, this beach has reached an Urban Legend status, known (according to myth mind you) for it's large same-gender interest groups, as well as as being a magnate for the police.
I have never chatted w/anyone who had actually been there, until now that is.
In short...I'm intrigued about finally clarifying what all the hoopla has been about.

We've been going out to the "nude beach" (oxymoron) for the past 5 years. The area we used to frequent was closed by the salt company (put up a barrier) so we couldn't access it anymore. We've never seen any police or gay men for that matter. It used to attract a few voyuers (single guys driving around trying to catch a glimpse) but we just ignored them for the most part. We found a new place to go out htere thanks to a couple who answered our pleas for help last spring. There are so many places to go out there - that without very accurate directions to one given place - to find anyone would be like searching for a needle in a haystack.
