I’ve received messages (more than once) from other users on here. But when I reply, I don’t see my messages sent. Not on all users, just specific users. I assume it’s something with their settings, but if they wrote me first, wouldn’t I be able to reply?
We never know with this site... We've sent dozens of introductory messages with no replies; it often seems like a futile exercise. And now reading your post we wonder if people have replied and we've not received them.

Just a lot of fake or abandoned profiles. Some are created to give the perception the site is more active. Others are created out of curiosity then never used. Some just decide to move past the lifestyle. On this case, he is a single male and they have single males blocked. Doesn’t matter if you are responding they are blocked. Also depends on if you are using the desktop versus mobile versions.

When using a desktop, sent messages are marked "read" when they are opened. With that, at least one knows if the recipients saw the message.
I run into the same thing. It is usually because someone who contacted me has “single males” blocked so my response doesn’t get through. I think if you add each other to your friends list then you can get around that. Best of luck.
Same problem here. Recently sent a message to a new couple that joined, got a positive response, then tried to respond to their reply and it won't go through. Guessing they got inundated with messages and either blocked single males or just turned messaging off altogether, to avoid being overwhelmed. But it's a little frustrating when you can't even reply to their message and have no way to continue the conversation.

This site has so few (actual) members, I don't think it would possible to overwhelmed with messages.
Well they are open to single males, so I'm guessing there's enough of us to cause them to need a break. But since they're new, you never know how serious they actually are about meeting others, either.
I hate that also. not seeing if I've already sent a message to someone. I don't want it to come across as pushy .
At least half of all the profiles here are no longer active. Most have been abandoned after people signed up for lifetime accounts. Others were made by curious people who are no longer curious. Some were made when people were in a different situation (married, single etc.) but that situation has changed and they have either gotten a new account or just left the lifestyle.

It is extremely unfortunate that the site does not hide profiles that have not been active or logged onto for some reasonable amount of time (3, 6, 12 months etc.). It would be simple to do.

We may have been guilty of this. We blocked single males (probably when we first signed up) and were curious why we got no response from a couple of them. I know we had reached out to a couple of them (usually in response to something they had posted) and it struck us as odd they never wrote back. Ooops - my bad! Looks like we were the problem (lol). Sorry?! Thanks for the info UtahLDSCouple!

We've corrected the problem - sounds like this may explain most of the issue!
