An email forward I wish to pass on - no offense intended to anyone who does not agree

On Monday, September 11th, 2006, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States.

Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this fifth anniversary of our country's worst tragedy.

We do this in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism.

Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared.

Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity.

Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds.

Action Plan:

So, here's what we need you to do...

Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.

Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11.
Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round,
but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.

Thank you for your participation.
God Bless You and God Bless America!!
God Bless America!
and on the lighter note

Sorry DON_JUAN_QUIXOTE
I did not mean to offend anyone

to those that dont wish to support our American Freedoms and troops
Please ignore this forum
since you felt the need to make that statement
i have made a clarification on the original post
It is an Email Forward
I am not the actual author of the words

have a nice day DON_JUAN_QUIXOTE
Great post wershi
You're right on Wershi. Great seeing you guys again Saturday night!!!!
I agree with others and say good job Wershi.. I did not take it as someone telling me what to do just a simple reminder that others are thinking of showing they are patriots also and we will not be broken......Don, please feel free to speak negatively about my post as you do about most others. I for one, damn sure know what freedom is about, I served my country in two different branches of the military, and because many civilian people have not been to the front line, does not mean they do not understand freedom and are thankful for the price others have paid so that we can all enjoy our great country. Thanks to all who recognize the men and women who serve our country and for the patriots who stand behind them. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Is Don_Jaun an American.....has anyone checked his green card.....FLY THOSE FLAGS HIGH AND BE PROUD OF ITS SYMBOL..........
DON_JUAN_QUIXOTE why do you have to be so dumb sounding. I would call you a democrat but I bet your just a bleeding heart left wing liberal. I have friends that are democrats and they have more sense than you. I have been to many countries in my travels. Many of them do not have the freedoms that we have. I would think that all REAL Americans would be proud to fly the colors on this day. I for one fly it everyday of the year. The people of this country take to much for granted and should be reminded once in a while of what it takes to be where we are.
If WERSHI wants to put "should be displayed " or "here's what we need you to do" by all means put it there! If you don't want to read it as such then dont read it.
I would be willing to take a collection to buy you a ticket to some other country that dont have the freedoms we have just so you can understand. AND (just guessing) there are many reading this post that will pitch in to buy you a ticket to that country as long as you agree to never come back to MY country, I am serving everyday to ensure its safe for people like you.
I for one and I know others do not agree with your veiws and logic on this matter Don_Whun
I do not think they were telling you to fly the Stars and Stripes. The way I read it, It sounded more like asking or just suggesting for us all to fly the Stars and Stripes on 9/11.
But I am one that would be more than happy to fly the Red, White and Blue 24/7 and yes I served this country for 9 years and all though it was peace time I was there, just in case. Dont know about you Don_Whun But if I was called today I would be more than happy to serve this country again. And yes I would do it again so Dumd ass people like Don_Whun

1. Has the freedom to say what he did ( Like that dumb ass remark )
2. To have the freedom to do what you want
3. To go where ever you want whenever you want

So Don_Whun I do not think you know what the word freedom is or to be a proud American!!!

SO I SAY YES FLY THOSE'S STARS AND STRIPES ON 9/11 AND EVERY DAY IF YOU CAN!!!!!

**this post was written by my friend who accidently posted under my name. I applaud all of you for standing proud for your beliefs, whatever they may be.
The last post was from DandRsully and not Wicked Wanda lmao ( Sorry hun ) didnt look
I was a volunteer fireman in New York and Texas for 10 years. I still have 1 t-shirt from my last fire company. I wear it once a year on 9/11 in memory and for respect for all those that died that terrible day. We also fly the flag that day. Kim and John
I lost a high school freind, worked for Morgan Stanley and fireman who was a freind of my family in NYC ..I listen to thier names when the read them off on the radio ...i get very emotional
I whole heartedly agree with everyone and Americans should be flying the flag on 9/11. I for one flew my flag for one year continuosly, illuminated at nite, after 9/11 to show my support and respect for those that lost their lives and for those defending our freedoms.

Paying taxes IS NOT a means of support. Your so called tax money is stolen from you by the government. Support is somethig that you give volentarly and of your own free will.

Rob n Jan
Don, Your just stupid is all. admit it.

People that work for the government pay taxes too.. No way to get around it. My guess is you live completly off government give aways.. welfare or something of that nature.. Can't or wont work for a living.
:)

Freedom - the right to state your own opinion
Freedom - the right to ignore those that differ with your opinion

Freedom is a beautiful thing

God bless America and all those that protect Freedom
Freedom is not free
Whether your contibution is by serving in war or by paying taxes

We all pay a price to have it!
and I gladly pay that price!

God Bless America!
Just to change it up a little will tell you all why September 11, 2001 is significant for us as well as for the obvious reasons..... we mailed my visa application for residency in Sept 10th 2001 it was received at the service centre Sept 12th 2001. After all the government hype to be done I have now been a permanant resident of the USA for 4 1/2 years.
We will fly our flag....... well its actually flying right now!!!
This is from an email. and if it offends anyone,, go and screw yourself and get over it!

If no of these fit you, then your might should find another country to live in. I hear Iraq is needing people..

It is time to change from REDNECK humor to TRUE AMERICAN Humor! Only I don't see it as Humor, but the correct way to LIVE YOUR LIFE ! If you feel the same, pass this on to your True American friends. Ya'll know who ya' are...

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, "One nation, under God."

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You still say "Christmas" instead of "Winter Festival."

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You bow your head when someone prays.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You treat Viet Nam vets with great respect, and always have.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You've never burned an American flag.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who is listening.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You respect your elders and expect your kids to do the same.
Do Juan said one thing right we should all be flying the Flag EVERY DAY. The rest of what he has said was just to create a stir in this forum. The best thing about what he has said is that had he attempted to voice his opinion about another countries flag in another country like IRAN he would have probally been shot! The flag will be flying proudly in front of our house on Sept 11th as it flys everyday it possibly can except during these damn Florida Hurricanes.

Norm&Sharon
Very well said WERSHI & WEPLAY2........... DON_JUAN_QUIXOTE, we will be flying our flag on Sept 11th as we do everyday.
As far a supporting "them", we do our best mailing care packages, emailing the soldiers overseas and praying for those in harms way too. If thats not enough, I'm also a firefighter \ EMT thats doing my fair share keeping our country safe for "them" when they return to our nation and its freedoms. All that and paying our own taxes too..............
For whatever it's worth, "Don" has the right to say and feel however he want and can because of the Men and women who have paid a price to let him have the right. All the police officers and firemen who lost their lives on 9/11 didn't want to die and I'm sure most never had the thought of losing their lives. They were doing what they do....help and do the best to save lives. The soldiers Marines and sailors( Corpsman ) airmen, are all doing what they do, Don, giving you the right to say the things you do. And let's NOT forget the brave people on flight 93 who did what they did. They knew they were dead either way and took the steps to save lives by giving theirs. ( I wonder how much they paid in taxes..."Don" ) Anyway I fly colors everyday as do my neighbors.
BTW, " Don " how DOES it feel to fight a windmill
.
To all the other vets on here ...OOOOyah !!!!!!!!
I think it is sad, that someone starts a post about something as important as 9/11 and to REMIND us to please put out your American Flag and then 2 posts later someone hasta try and turn it into a negative and a bashing on everyone's grammer/spelling and opinions....then on top of it everyone has to follow by giving this bastard exactly what he wants........attention and turning the post into "bashing Don Juan" peeps I know he crawls underneath everyone's skin, but that is exactly what he wants and you guyz give it to him everytime. When he does and says cruel things like he does just keep on posting your stuff about the ORIGINAL POST and ignore his poor ass. He has nothing better to do then to sit around reading posts and turning them into negativity and making the posts from then on out about him. Dont let his comments get to you so much because that is what he wants anyways. Ignore him and keep posting!!!!
**********SORRY I had to say something bout that********
When 9/11 comes around I always remember what it was I was doing on that day....and how I felt as I watched the second plane crash into the building, and then the towers falling. Watching people cry, and run, and the saddness they all felt, and I felt as I watched it. It brings emotions out and it makes me not take for granite the time we have as a family and appreciating everyday that we have together. Hang your flags with honor, pride, and remember those that have fallen.......and be grateful to live in America where we are free, and do have the priviledge to have a voice.
just my $.02
:)
Let Freedom Reign!
c'mon, let's all go fuck!!!!
The movie Enemy of the State filmed in 1998 . Watch it and listen to the content and what the politicians were trying to pass . Look for the scene where John Voight is brought up on the monitor in Gene Hackmans compound , pay close attention to the date on the monitor !! Not a conspiracy , not a coincidence , just a movie 3 years before a major event .

Quite simple , everything in this world has an opposite . It is the opposition that gives life and diversity , without the opposite we are doomed . Then refer to biblical times and the reference to the shepard and his heard . This scenerio can be written today as the leader of a country and his people . There is nothing wrong with being patriotic but human nature is to become lazy and comfortable . So as the sheep follow the shepard , the people follow the leader . Like the sheep who are taken to green pastures day after day , they begin to follow the shepard without straying . So as the people do with thier patriotism by not questioning the leaders . The day comes when the sheep follow the shepard , not to a pasture but to slaughter .

If you all were so patriotic you would be gathering to fight for your rights !! Fight for your social security , your benefits , your health care !! Instead its a day to fly the flag.......show my patriotism for the day........in school they were called pep rallies !!!! Oh yea fire up for the day , and then get comfortable and follow the leader . I like Don Juans ability to question authority , it shows independence and moxy !!! The rest seem to just follow the shepard and without any facts for a valid debate ! OUT !!!
Don, I will never convince you I'm not a follower because I won't follow your way of thinking. I also don't buy all the White House says. I do know from tapes that the people on flight 9 were ready and DID attempt to do something. You of course have intel that the rest of the people don't. I'm happy for you.
As for your rights, yeah the constitution gives you those rights but for the brave men and women who because or their beliefs gave their all so you still had a constitution to be able to fall on.
I am not saying you are wrong, just asking you quit saying we all are. The people who had the email forwarded to them and forwarded it to all of us did it out of their constitutional right to voice an opinion.
They felt that we all may be interested The vast majority of us are. I for one
thank them as I lost brothers on 911. Maybe you too felt the way everyone else did. Maybe you didn't. That's your right provided by the constitution and kept in force by the people. If the remembernce of 911 is a "pep" rally in your mind then I can never nor would I want to change your mind. But Don, understand we have a first amendment right as well.
I hope you have a great day on 911. I mean that honestly. I won't but that's my problem.
Flight 93 and the heros that fought the terrorist to keep them from taking more lives, Yada , yada ,yada !!!!! People love a good story !! The pilots lost control of the airliner as it spun out of control nose diving into the ground . So fortunate that it hit in an empty field in an unpopulated area . The tragedy of Payne Stewart where his unpiloted private jet ran out of fuel and crashed in a unpopulated area . How about the truth ..........maybe , just maybe the military who is documented in both cases of being in visual of both aircraft shot the tails off thus sending them to the ground in an unpopulated area . That wouldn't be very popular with the public if that were the case would it !! Hero stories are much more heart felling .

I like G.W.Bush , I voted him in and support him . A man that stands by his decision , got to love it !! The thought that Bush is taking away your liberties . It takes more than one man to do it in our system of checks and balances , so now we have hundreds of elected officials from across the country involved in a huge conspiracey !! Ridiculous when you think about it !!

What is a liberal ???? Ted Kopple's definition is " A conservative who has just been arrested " !!
What a true view !! I am conservative but like all of us .....if i am arrested I want all my rights damn it !! Plus any other help that sets me free !!
Don-Juan-Quixote.... When there's postes up about freedom or 9-11, just "PLEASE" dont put you'r two cent's in! Do have family that died in that tragedy? Well guess what buddy, i lost family because of that horible day.So i think you should shut you'r trap about shit you dont care about and let us "REAL" AMERICAN'S enjoy or freedom and the right to be free, and remembering the one's who died to make us free!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA, AND GOD BLESS YOU!!!!! A&H
Just an observation, Haden, but I don't the he(Don Juan) is capable of NOT commenting. I'm sure it is mentally and physically impossible for him to refrain...
YEAH, TRUE! YOU SHOULD SEE THE E-MAIL HE JUST SENT ME! HE'S A FUCKIN ASSHOLE TO SAY THE LEAST... GRAT DAY ALL! :)
Hello proud loyal Americans, and Don Jaunnabe. As everyone has said we have fought for the rights for Don Jaunnabe to say what he wants, as well as others freedom of speech . People have the right to respond with anger to Don Jaunnabe, in fact I agree with most of there statements, and heres one of my own.

If you hate America so much or think its so bad, then why do you stay?
I know, you know, its the greatest country in the world, and for those who say no, why are you still here. As for the statement about the troop who said he didnt care about support with signs. Thats crap, my brother served in combat and they said its 1 of the greatest feeling to be reminded in any shape or form that there nation is behind them. I think your story was made up about the troop just 4 a co-sighner.

Now you dont have to fly a flag to be an American , its Just showing the world you care about those Americans that died on that horrible day. Now if you dont fly a flag it dosent mean you dont care, but if you do, you will be showing EVERYONE you do care
WE will always remember that day, and how our nation came together. We will have our flag raised high and proud, and you dont have to Don Jaunnabe thats your RIGHT thanks to that freedom.

GOD BLESS THE WORLD and everyone in it, including Don Jaunnabe
Don Juan is smarter than the rest of us... let's just give up! He knows EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING, and is terribly kind to try to make us brighter with his wisdom!

I remember the unity of the nation after 9/11, the nationalist pride I felt when I saw flags and messages everywhere showing our compassion and love for those we lost. Normal, everyday 'patriots' who posted support for their country on their cars, their homes, their businesses made ME feel good. Is it the answer to all the problems we face as a nation? Of course not! But it's a statement that, at the core, we believe in our nation, and care about each other.

Blow that all off if you want, and stand on your soap-box Don Juan. Preach your intellectualism and anti-American, purely partisan horse-crap. Wake up and hopefully you'll see a beautiful monday, colored with the passion of those who care! No, waving a flag won't win a war and make everything ok, we get that, but it does make for a better day. One at a time!

Cheers for the sailors that fought on the wave for it,
Cheers for the soldiers that always were brave for it,
Tears for the men that went down to the grave for it,
Here comes the flag!
~Arthur Macy, The Flag
I guess I will have to add my two cents worth. It is a shame that people can't express their patriotism and love of flag, country and constitution without someone feeling they have to try to make them feel bad about it. Just a word to those will try to do that to me you are doomed to fail. I am not a blind follower or sheep. My patriotism and love of country is deeply imbedded in my heart. I will not make any apologies for it either. I have served this country in uniform for more than 20 years and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. I will pass on to my children and their children the same love. Poor is the man who has nothing to believe in and shame on him for trying to tear it down. And lest you think this is on blind faith I assure it is not. I have studied and informed myself, I have lived in other countries and visited many more. I have seen with my own eyes and had access to information the average person doesn't. If this country, the government or all its poeople perfect? By no means. Is it a cesspool of what ever crap a lot would have us believe? The answer is no too. People come from all over the world to live her because of the wonderful things here. America has been a beacon of freedom. ANd no offense to our neighbor countries of mexico and Canada but to me this is the best country in the world. Yes we fight wars and may do some stupid things in the world but have a disaster and who does everyone turn to? America. And America comes through. Why do the terrorist factions hate us, because we can prevent them from the world domination they want. We are a friend to those who will fight against their tyrrany and terrorism.

To those who posted and lost someone special in the 9/11 events I say God bless you and your families. I will fly every flag I have in the house in honor of them and the veterans who went before.

To those who have the patriotism and love of country I salute you.

To those who have nothing but venom, gloom and doom, to those who look down their nose at patriotism and those who made a good post negative, understand I will hate your words and the feelings that wont' allow you to feel the pride I do. I will do my best not to hate the person but just the message. And I will also support the freedom to speak your mind even though it causes me discomfort. I will also wish you find the pride I do in this country and the positive feelings, based on knowledge not blind following.

Also understand I have not problem with challenging authority when it is called for, I just don't feel that crabbing on an adult site solves a thing. If you put the effort you put into crabbing into finding viable solutions and following the processes for improving things maybe we can make this country even better. IT is easy to sit at a computer and bitch but takes real courage, strength and intellect to do real things to solve problems.

To all God Bless. ANd God Bless America and its service men and women.
American And Proud Of It!!

Thanks everyone!!
well almost everyone ;)

for your "positive comments" on the topic of this forum

Always Remember!!

Wow, very inspiring. Of course our flag will be flying. My husband served 26 years in military. We spent most of our military time serving overseas. We were overseas during the first Iraq war, 9/11 and the second Iraq war. We continue to support our troops in tangible ways, there is nothing better then taking home baked goodies to the hangar where the troops are massed waiting for their transport aircraft being prepared for takeoff. Buying clothing and toiletries for the wounded soldiers being Medically Evacuated to an interim hospital before being flown back to the USA. They don't let the wounded go pack up their belongings. What they have with them when they arrive is what they were wearing when they were wounded. We monthly collect goodies to send to deployed soldiers. We know people who are in Iraq and sent them monthly packages of things that we all take for granted. I am proud to be an American, and I support our troops here and overseas.
Hi RLF1234
Thanks for your service and everything else!
It's apparent the American education system has failed DonJuan, as he apparently can't read WERSHI's first line of this thread.

To wit, "An email forward I wish to pass on - no offense intended to anyone who does not agree."

Now, if he didn't read the first line or ignored it and posted inflammatory responses anyways, then he's just a dick trying to piss people off. Giving him the benefit of the doubt - that he's not a dick - then he's a failure of education.

Alms for the poor?

Thanks WERSHI. Nice post. I agree we should (not must) remember and practice those virtues which make civilizations worthwhile: honor and duty.

Support our cops and firefighters - they have a tough job. And issue our soldiers flamethrowers amd M203s as standard combat issue.
the similarity of these two famous images of our American history is unreal

God Bless America
and All that have in some way, served, do serve, or will serve our country to protect the freedoms that we have

Freedom Rocks!
Freedom will prevail!!
:)
For anyone who's a history buff and might be interested, the marines from that picture on Mt. Suribachi were always embarassed that they got such fanfare for their role. They didn't see why they had been singled out as heroes when their fallen buddies weren't. Honor and duty weren't just words to those guys, they lived it. This is their world, we just live in it.
Boy doesn't that say it all. There are tons of Americans who live duty and honor. Too bad there are those who denigrate that. What a shame they can't experience the satisfaction from good service.

It also does a body good to see so many who do recognize the service. Those who do are totally awesome.
Don, you poor idiot dumbass....

This is a place that we ( all of us) are able to say what we want, when we want and how we want. If someone says to me "fly the flag" what in the hell is wrong with that. What tree did you hug last night? When it comes to this country, tell me to fly the flag, say "yes ma'm and respect older people even if they are idiots. It works. But, if you want to get some people upset ( like me) then go ahead and try to correct them for telling us to respect our country. You'll be in for a surprise response. How about this......you try your own feelings on your self...don't tell someone else what or how to do it, say it or act it.

One more thing, please keep us posted on your whereabouts....I'm sure when everyone gets tired of people such as yourself telling us how to act and we ask them to leave for somewhere better (ie: Al Gore, Barbara Boxer, Teddy Kennedy, and the whole damned hollywood bunch),. I'm sure they will have you with open arms for the "greater place" you seem to think is out there !!!!

Good Sailing
We feel this as a great post, we have a flag flying year round at our place, and will continue to but we do hope that Don can someday figure out that supporting our troops or those who risk there lives everyday to protect and serve in one form or another doesnt mean it comes from your tight ass pocket its from the heart
Got this email from DJQ, thought I might share. . .it sounds an awful lot like the "I know you are, but what am I?" that was a clever retort when we were, what, 7?

He writes, "actually, the educational system apparently failed you....

because if you had read the first half-dozen posts carefully, you'd see that Wershi went back and edited her post, added that first line, *after* my reply. She even says that...(grin)"

The point he seems to think clever (and has one on me) is the part where Wershi went back and edited that she wasn't the originator of this email. Of course, the part I was commenting on was Werhi's thoughtful disclaimer, "no offense intended to anyone who does not agree." Such a disclaimer suggest respect for other people's opinions, a dramatic counterpoint to DJQ.

For reference, my previous post stated,
"Now, if he didn't read the first line or ignored it and posted inflammatory responses anyways, then he's just a dick trying to piss people off. Giving him the benefit of the doubt - that he's not a dick - then he's a failure of education. "

So since we can see that DJQ didn't get the point of my post, clear as it was, we can safely assume DJQ's intellect is quickly assuming room temperature, if it has not already. He has, by inference, made my point that the education system really fails too many people, leading even the most pedestrian minds to believe themselves to be intellectuals of the first order.

Finally, more kudos to Wershi for not taking specific credit for what many think to be a thoughtful message.
If it is any consolation Don sent me a private e-mail to say my 2 cents was overvalued. Too bad he can't see that his presence here is sxtremely unwanted.

Still I have to say I do appreciate all who have posted and showed their belief in patriotism and the good in this country.

There has been some great posts to this forum
I thank those of you that have shown your support on this topic
and for stating you will fly your flags tomorrow in recognition of this tragic day our American History!
also for the support that has been expressed for all our heroes and for this great Nation!
God Bless You All!

xoxox
thank you for posting that. As a mitary trainer, I could not agree more. God Bless America!
Obviously Don can't tell the difference between an inferior complex and the total frustration of having someone constantly make a negative comment about someone's belief in something. It is the response from someone who is sick and tired of the pseudo-intellectual bable from a jerk who seems to derive great pleasure in insulting and generally pissing people off. It is a response from someone who finds it incredible bad taste that you are not content to do all this in the open forum but feel you have to continue it by sending a private message to continue to harrass and insult. If is also for these things that you were blocked. It is on area I can control where your venom and contempt for anyone who believes in God, Country, and patriotism. It is a shame you can't take the words of Newcpl99, Femos Exp, Wanda,Diesel, KandJforplay,Wershi,Young4matueiunit,Gunny, Stitchutah, HAden, Fun4usxx, cpl4play77, Riderz, and utahredhead as a huge hint. Many were very direct. They all seemed to find your comments to be ignorant, assinine and totally unwanted. And yet you insist and still seem surprised that you receive a backlash. If you want to create you own form to spew forth your venom and bile, do so and we will all avoid that. But why can't you just leave other peoples positive posts alone.
.
65 years ago, Our parents and grand parents survived what was at the time the worst attack on America.. Pearl Harbor

A gentleman who had a show on MSNBC, and a daily radio show, voiced an opinion I agree with whole heartedly... The images of the WTC, were pulled off because some expert said the daily viewing of this was "disturbing".. Like this gentleman said... They should be shown EVERY DAY.. In schools as well, to start Each day. If we forget those that gave everything in the first attack on US soil, We are doomed for the rest of our lives to be the sheep waiting for the slaughter.

According to CNN, and the "in the footsteps of Bin Laden" The "war" he wages against America will end only with our destruction and the remaining survivors converting to Islam. Like most fucked up radicals, his world view is.. "my way or No way". He has already found a few Americans that accepted his views as thiers. These assholes are much like the Neo Nazis or SKINHEADS that take Adolfs fucked perspective on life.

In 2001 I, like many others waited for our President to quote FDR, But it never came. Since that nightmare tuesday, We have had songs written, stories told, and controversy over 9/11. Documentaries, Docudramas, and big screen releases.

Personally, I still tear up when these images come on, and yes, we did lose some friends in the collapse. But as emotional as the subject is to us, We dont agree with some opinions, and believe that those "cashing in" on what happend that day should donate every cent made to creating the memorials for each of the three monuments.

Two Songs written prior to 9/11 came to my mind then, and still do inspire me.
Wake the sleeping giant by Dee Snider and Twisted Sister
Captain America Calling by the Kinks
We agree to disagree Don... THAT is what makes America what it is, and today, brother, I'd shake your hand and celebrate the 'different' parts of our America that we love.

May we unify enough to make sense of a changing world! Partisan politics aside, it is free thought, checks and balances, differing opinions, and the ability to change the things we don't like that makes this country free and great.

None of us will forget 9/11/2001, let us not forget to support one another like we did the days shortly following the tragedy! The patriotism! The love!

God Bless America!!!
In all fairness to those that have posted here today, and yes that includes the infamous Don Juan.
My comments are fairly simple. I would believe that the fair amount of US citizens believe that there are always cost to the freedoms that we cherish. That by giving people their due and respecting each other we can some how live a utopian society.

Being fairly well traveled in the world and having an education does not assure me of any kind of glorified vision of myself or of those around me. The world is just that the world, A very large diverse group of people looking to make it from one day to the next. Wanting a little bit more out of life than their ancestors. When you think that your rules are better than those of the country you are living in, is where i have to call the ball. Just because the Declaration of Independence stated that you have the right to think and speak, does not give you access to special considerations. To be a citizen of a country means that you will abide by the rules set about by that Government. Not just the rules that you see are good for you but all of them. As I said before though that the world is full of free thinkers. Some of them around the world would just as soon slay you because you admit to being an American. It is just my opinion but that is a very significant accomplishment. To be virtually hated because you accept citizenship to a country. There must be something really incredible about this country to be hated so vastly throughout the world. I mean crime rates or on the rise, violent deaths are going through the roof, and when was the last time you watched TV, and someone actually stopped for the police. The housing prices are some of the highest in the world. People are crossing our borders in staggering numbers and they are demanding the same rights and privileges that have been awarded those that are citizens.

Maybe that is it? Does anyone really know what being a citizen really means? Don Juan, do you know what it really means, to honor your privilege, of being a United States citizen?

Just because you live within the walls does not give you rights. To be closed minded and allowing those among us who would rather talk down to others, than to have that right taken away, is not a sign of weakness.

But please do not think for one moment that your conspiracy theory lifestyle is going to pan out in everyday commitments. I still have to go to work and I still have to jerk off and the trash needs to be at the curb by 7.

I spend 17 years serving my country, have a big hole in my back and reconstructed shoulders just so that ignorance could reign supreme. Now I can now lean back in my easy chair, smoking a cigar and listening to the idiotic ramblings of the Johnny come lately, American bashing, left and right winging, this country owes me, it is all smoke and mirrors hypocrisy, to come on over; and KISS MY BIG FAT Chubby
GO DONNIE GO... GO DONNIE GO GO GO!!!! WOOHOO isn't he amazing.

This is what this thread should be about. Not trading insults with Don Juan
Actually Don, I think you are still missing my point... although I did like your very last post here explaining how your day went on that day.

I really do not want to get into a debate about this so I
