I think is a forced meme with more fuzz than action. But is relatively new, 4 yrs at most. You haven't missed anything. We would not approach anyone using an upside down pineapple because there are plenty of safer, foolproof ways to meet playbuddies. Also, what if I'm wearing a pineapple upside down at the mall and a single male approaches us about it? My pineapple will for sure go up his ass and then I'll lose it.

Well as a 30+ years as a LS enthusiast I think itβs just good old fashion fun. We have them in our RV just for a reaction. And the internet doesnβt seem to have a positive outcome as it did in the past.

I have a huge one hanging from my porch visible for many-a-people, in my 20 years, I've never had someone come say "yo, I see you like pineapples, wink wink". Well, except one gal came by, but that was just because I was in my garage with my shirt off, no mention of the pineapple.
When we joined it was a black ring. Now a pineapple. I think these things change and gain popularity for a moment and then something new hits. If you enjoy a secret code, etc have fun with it but I wouldn't take any of it too seriously.

Upside-down pineapples (Or sometimes even right-side-up ones.). Black rings. Pink flamingos in the front yard. Ankle bracelets (Who knew how many Jr. High girls were hotwives! :-O). We always laugh a little when somebody "discovers" these supposedly surefire ways to tell if your neighbors or the cute couple sitting across the restaurant are swingers.
It's even funnier when someone makes up their own and tries to make it a thing. When we first started in the lifestyle (Back around the time of Noah and his Magic Zoo Boat.) it was supposedly a necklace with a pendant of an apple with a bite out of it.

The upside down pineapple identifier didnβt start in Utah, and itβs been around for years. I donβt think itβs ever become so popular that the majority of swingers use it, or look for it, but in my opinion a lot of swingers are aware of it. We see decals on cars around town. Weβve run into people with upside down pineapple tattoos. We have run into couples in Costco wearing pineapple face mask during the early days of the pandemic, and we both have mask with pineapples and wore them in Costco. No, we didnβt end up fucking anyone the in the pet food isle. Seriously, in our opinion, something like this isnβt supposed to be taken too seriously. Just have fun with it.

Nope, with the same 20 yrs of LS experience I can tell you that the internet never had a 100% positive outcome, far from it! It has always been plagued with rubberneckers, cheaters, liars and all sorts of weirdos. I've just become very good at working with it since Mrs. SueNDan's job has always been to relax and enjoy the ride. But I prefer it a million times than telling everyone out there that my gorgeous self is up for grabs lol.

I just think they got there tire cover on upside down when they changed their flat lol and the playing on the road statement probably means they are in a band π€·ββοΈ
We love these stickers
We just got pool/beach towels with pineapples and flamingos. So far we have had knowing grins and winks, witnessed whispered conversations between couples, and a single lady stopped to ask questions. We don't think that would have happened without the towels. At the very least it has turned into a very fun game we play when vacationing or visiting adult locations.

Wore this around for a day - not even a lifted eyebrow!
In our 5 years, the upside-down pineapple and the black band on the right ring finger were introduced to us right off the bat. All parties and events always have an upside-down pineapple somewhere.
We just have fun with it. It puts a smile on our face every time we pack our naughty towels. Hopefully it helps us put a smile on someone else face sometime.
