Swingers Forum - Protection Required - Penetrative, Oral or Both

I’m curious as to people’s thoughts and opinions on using condoms / protection during sex. I was at a LS resort last week and typically people would use protection (if at all) for penetrative (vaginal or anal) sex but not for oral sex.

I think when most people see “protection required” on profiles the assumption is that does not include oral sex.

Thoughts? Comments? Practices?
I think this depends on the couple, and a great example of there needing to be clear communication.

We use protection for vaginal or anal, but not oral. Our reasons for this boundary was the risk level is low enough for us that it is worth not using protection.

It would not be an issue for us if a couple wanted to use protection for oral.
We usually go with what our partners preference is for condom use. In a situation where we might have sex with unknown friends and no condom we use rape protocol antibiotics to take care of any potential for STDs. This solution was recommended by an ob/gym whose wife cannot tolerate a condom. Azithromycin 500mg tablet, 2 tablets once and Tinidazole 500mg, 4 tablets once and a dose of fluconazole for the women. We have refills for these antibiotics and use them when we have unprotected sex, usually in a group of people we may not know very well and sometimes just with another couple, always depends on the circumstance.

This is very interesting - I’ve not heard of a couple doing this before. I’m assuming this would ward off anything except viral type STIs.
#Nakkidfun it does not protect against HIV (very rare in the LS heterosexual community) nor herpes (most of us have herpes its just remains dormant). I have never had a doctor question when I told them I was sexually active with strangers sometimes without protection. We believe its very important to have a physician who can accept your chosen behavior without recrimination. If a physician ever questioned me and I would not take kindly to them not prescribing based on my personal request and choices.

Very true.
This is very interesting and a concern of mine (the male) because I'd like to make sure that we keep both of us safe but still want to have fun and enjoy the playing!
