Are you saying I'm fat, ANON? I mean, I DID blow off the gym yesterday and got some donuts for breakfast instead, but GEEZE, ya don't have to be so mean. I promise I'll def hit the gym today.
But you're correct about obesity being a significant comorbidity for increased risk of severe illness and/or death with COVID. I wonder how many people who are overweight would take a "jab" or a "poke" for some kind of new vaccine or medication that would make them skinny. My gut tells me that a LOT who WON'T get the COVID vaccine might suddenly decide that CERTAIN kinds of shots ARE okay after all. LOL
Maybe we're looking at COVID all wrong. Maybe it's evolution's way of thinning the herd and getting rid of excess humans, whether it's by deciding to get the vaccine or not or even by eating too damn much food. So THIS is funny. I was just chatting online with a swinger friend from Texas and he told me about two really weird experiences he had yesterday while out shopping. The first was when someone passed him in the store while he was wearing a mask, looked him up and down, and loudly said, "Fucking sheep!". He was a little surprised at first but then turned to the guy and said, loudly, "Why are you telling me what you like to do to sheep when nobody's looking?". LOL
He said not even an hour later he was in a hardware store, again wearing his mask, and a man walked by him wearing a pistol in a holster on his hip. This guy was OBVIOUSLY jumping the gun (pun intended) since Texas doesn't become open-carry until the 1st of Sept. but he also said something about my friend being a "scared little sheep". My friend didn't respond, I mean the guy was carrying a likely loaded weapon and there are a LOT of pissed-off people running around shooting each other these days, but he thought it was more than a little ironic for someone to call him a scared sheep when he had to carry a gun to leave the house to buy some screws.

I highly doubt the guy was jumping the gun as those who carry understand the laws intimately. It has been legal to open or concealed carry in Texas for many years, provided you obtained the easy to get CCP permit. The difference is beginning September 1 Texas becomes a "Constitutional Carry" state, which means no permits are required to carry if you are legally allowed to own a firearm.
FWIW - Texas is following in the footsteps of Utah, which went from a CCP state to a Constitutional Carry state earlier this year.
As for the original question... we don't do Covid :-)

Hear, hear. We feel the exact same way. We’ve both been vaccinated since February. I am in education, so I am grateful I was able to get my first shot in January, and yes, we’ll be getting the booster.
