Please help us. We are looking to make videos, use on web chats and whatever else. Which web cam is the best to capture detail, and record movement (body, facial, body parts ha,ha)?
Logitech has some decent cams for what you want to do, and I believe it comes with software. You may also want to get software specific for your needs.

Buy the best Logitech you can afford.The colour and resolution is simply wonderful.
We use it to play with and also to stay in touch with family and friends in England.
However if you are looking at making videos,buy a digital videocamcorder and use the supplied software to edit it on your computer.You can also make DVD's of your efforts.Great to create memories.

Though we haven't used it in a while, we have a sony trv-280 camcorder that does usb streaming. It makes a great web cam as well as the obvious other uses. Now it wasn't a cheap purchase at 300 bucks, but then again we didn't buy it just to be a web cam. It gives you much better quality than a web cam.

Thanks all. So far we have a logitec fusion. The pictures are very clear unless you really zoom it up. The thaking of videos is not like a camcorder. When there is movement (like a hand or body) all you see is a blurr of the moving object. If I ws just using it for a web cam, it would look good. I am still looking at the camcorder as a wed cam or a digital camera as a web cam. We are also getting a new computer so hopefully this will help.
