Does anyone have a good way to tell who is and isn’t active ? How do you keep up to date on your friends and messages when some are years old. We shut down our account for the past year
From the desktop version of the site. Profiles show an activity date stamp. I think it’s searchable as well but far more reliable to just look at the profile in question than to trust the search.
If we haven't heard from them in a long time its an automatic delete or if it's someone we are really interested in we send a message and if we don't here back in a few days we drop them.
We get a lot of friend requests even though they haven’t read our profile which clearly says no blind friend requests. I accept a handful that seem interesting after we read their profile but still no message. Why bother sending them out oh wait pic collectors. Anyway I leave them for a couple of days and then delete. Wish people would take a chance and at least say something in return
I think a lot of time I accept a friend request to see more photos . I understand not having your face in public photos but at least show what you are working with.

You would think this would be a good way to go, But Swingular (and all dating sites) keeps even closed accounts active by updating the date stamp and last on date.
So you cannot use this as a reliable source. They do this to keep their site active, and to show more people then there really are. (Swingler shows it’s got tens of thousands of members, but in reality there’s probably only five out of every hundred that are really valid accounts.)
Unfortunately the best way to know if somebody is still around or if they have interest in your profile is to send a message and if you get a reply within about a week then they are valid. Now that does not mean that they are still a couple but at least one person is still active on the account.

Lots of methods for sure. I would hazard a guess that messages aren’t reliable either. as most people don’t respond let alone check messages even if they are active. :shrug
