You were raised believing in a set of rules toward what's considered a relationship, and those rules fail 70% of the time. Why does anybody follow them? Because, you were conformed & raised being jealous. If we live 1 life, and this is it, who are we telling someone, "you have to sleep with me and only me for the rest of your life"? We could die tomorrow so why do we care so much about uneducated opinions? It's not our fault, everything we've been taught conformed against polyamory. Honestly if you're here, you're smarter than everyone else, & as much as society wants to make you feel wrong, your relationship has a better chance than theirs. My dad use to tell me, "ridding yourself from jealousy is the secret to mankind". I'll remember that line for the rest of my life, because when I finally started listening, I realized, it is. Anyone judging sexual lifestyle is equally as lost to a person hiding lifestyle from judgement. It's none of nobodies business. I get why people hide, we did too until realizing, hiding perpetuates reality.
Maybe some of us aren't interested in living our life out loud without worry for consequences. Maybe some of us have had stalkers search us out and we're protecting ourselves. Maybe some of us have jobs we're not interested in losing and maybe how you live your life is fine and my living a life of discretion is just fine too. Maybe you should live your life to your standards, and play with like minded folks and let those who don't live ours the way we choose too, without the sermon on the "right" way to do this. 🙏
Stalkers I understand...kinda..if they know you're here, it won't be hard familiarizing themselves, but what job out there is there where they'll fire you because you really like sex n only care about your girl or guy being happy? The jobs and stalkers argument isn't realistic because everyone's hiding. Shit, they even give you an option making 50% swingulars fault. Shouldn't even be an option. The only reason I see justifiable is hiding from kids. But even then, based on my childhood detective work, kids find out, and they'll never tell you. They still should be taught how everything around them believes in something failing over 70% of the time. If I tried selling anything with an over 70% chance of failing, no one would buy it. To me, the most reasonable explanation of hiding faces is believing they're doing something wrong. Hiding creates lies, and lies create problems. Embracing by demonstration exposes our failed system.

Everyone on here wants to participate in their own way. Judgement goes with the territory. Swinging is a judgemental endeavor based on attraction, age, and so many other factors. The exciting thing is we get to participate in the manner that right for us.

I do like your view of things and I get it, but if there's anywhere to advertise it's here. I'm not telling people to sporadically start telling the world they're swingers; you'll end relationships. Like after telling my wife, knowing the outcome, not telling her sisters how we were during their vacation together. She did, ending both relationshits—one in divorce and the other broke up & moved out. I asked what she told them and it was one line I knew hurt their little traditional relationship minds. "He just said he's not trying to take my 20s away and saying I have to sleep with him and only him is unrealistic". Like I said, it's dangerous expressing the lifestyle. Why? Because it makes more sense than todays definition of love. I'm trying to think if ever a conversation came up toward me having to explain how I am, and none exist other than me telling my mom, "I know the secret to mankind" having to explain.

We were discreet about being in the lifestyle but somehow my wife's employer (A.K.A. asshole) found out and terminated her. This happened fall of 2016 so it does happen. She got the last laugh though, better job now, likely makes more than the douche that fired her.

More than likely, that parent would tell everyone that you are not the role model that should be teaching their children; and demand that you be fired. You would lose your career and reputation.

Why do I hide? I have built a very successful business over the years that most people on this site have probably heard of. All it takes is 1 person that doesn’t like my lifestyle and cancel culture kicks in and that business and the employees suffer. It’s not worth it to me.
