While searching profiles, I have found that many members have not been on their profile for months or even years. I sent out almost 30 messages a month ago when I joined, and so far only ONE of them has even been opened.
I understand that the pandemic is having an effect, but there must be some way to filter out inactive members. Maybe not showing their profiles if they have not visited the site for a year or more?
Also, Why is there no way to save favorite searches? Most of us only use one or two searches. Why do we have to re-submit all of the search criteria every single time?
Please consider making some changes to the search engine.

I agree with saving the search. But you can search on those who have been active

My biggest issue is that the messages I sent haven't even been OPENED. That leads me to think that these people have not been on the site in the last month. Of course it is possible that people get on and just don't open mail, but that seems strange. I only send messages to ladies and couples looking for single men, so I don't think it is just people ignoring a single guy.
Only one message OPENED out of almost 30 is pretty sad!

We do the same. We would rather have a "sorry, no thanks" then wondering if the profile is dead, or if we don't match. A simple no, okay cool we will move on. Being ghosted we wonder if they didn't see it. Should we send another message? Is the profile dead?

This is what we started doing. We simply send a polite message saying "Is this an active profile? if so, please reply even if there is no interest, Thank you" With about 20 of these messages, only one couple replied as they just became active again, but the account showed active the whole time.
So with that being said, SO many of the profiles on this site are dead, and swingular keeps them active just so people will want to join the site then find out later on that there are relatively few active accounts. Wish swingular would just delete or suspend the inactive accounts once they have not had any activity for 6 months.

That does not work, simply because it is a known fact that Swingular (and other dating websites) keep old profiles active even though the original creator has not touched that profile for months or even years.
We know of two profiles where the people have tragically died, yet their profiles still show up on all searches as if they were active. SWINGULAR knows about it, but it is a good way for this website, and many other dating websites to show more active profiles. They just keep them activated through a computer algorithm. Sucks, but that is the reality.
