Wanting to take my girlfriend to Lava for the first time.
Looking for recommendations on the best place to stay. Not looking for any play dates, just want to have a romantic and enjoyable stay with her.
Get an AirBnB or stay in Pocatello and drive to Lava. All of the hotels are worn down and old. We haven't tried the hillside suites under the rooftop bar yet those are probably the newest ones. Just our opinion.
We just rent a house in Lava its great for a weekend! You can walk everywhere and hit all the hotpots. You can rent a house for around 200 a night. Just go to https://www.lavalodging.com/
Good for you guys! Lava is a get getaway, once you get past Ogden it's a nice (weather permitting) 165 mi drive from SLC. The business area is about a block and a half long so everything is within walking distance. The Alpaca Motel may work for you and many like some rooms at the Home Hotel. As Utahldscouple mentioned the hillside suites under the rooftop bar looks like a good choice, one of the newer although I've never lodged there. KOA has some great large with lots of amenities and newer. Overlooks the river, cabin type that are all individual at about $200 a night. I think pricey but fully loaded ~ ~ ~
Another thought...as SxySteph mentioned there are LOTS of house rentals in Lava and Kathryn at Lava Adventures & Lodging can help with individual wants and needs ... Have Fun :)
Thank you for the information
The lions gate is really nice but we got the last one.

are you offering to share😂?
We always stay either in a little house on main Street or home hotel.
We like the Riverside Hot Springs Inn for their private indoor pools.
We will be up there this weekend and also looking for a place to rest after the nights parties are over.

Wow, the Harkness looks Gorgeous! I've heard about it but never bothered to stop in but now I will ... thanks MANDIEQT !!!
I greatly appreciate all the input from everyone. We are greatly leaning towards the Harkness. And looking at bookings, we will be going in March. Not sure of the exact date yet.
The hillside is pretty cool, nice rooms, and the setup is fun
We will be there March 6th 7th and 8th
The alpaca inn is nice.
We've never been to Lava. Could someone please explain the lifestyle- Lava connection. Are there weekly parties, nudity allowed etc? Thanks in advance

Doesn't everyone wish :D! No nudity is allowed. Usually there are a few groups/gatherings that happen regularly. Some are open invite and others are private invitation only. It's just a location where a lot of lifestyle couples frequent but nothing "official".
the Riverside Inn has private indoor hot pools that are pretty nice! Not sure what the rooms look like
Yes nothing official but there is alot of skinny dipping and opportunities to meet at the Blue Moon...good meeting place for other parties!
