My wife and I have started several kik groups we'd be down to admin some Swingular groups.

As a longtime group admin I can tell you that MOST of the inactivity is usually due to lack of interest/participation/follow-thru on the part of group members. We have ACTIVELY tried to hold/host group activities MANY times over the years only to be frustrated by turnout...well, LACK of turnout.
We're not sure if it's just Swingular members, swingers in general, or just human nature but we've really gone out of our way a number of times only to be disappointed. The last time was about a year and a half ago when we tried to organize a meet and greet (we actually organized SEVERAL at different times to try to accommodate as many people's schedules as possible) so that people could meet and mingle before organizing a more ambitious activity (skiing/boarding day). Between two different meet and greets we had two couples and one single female show up. So don't necessarily blame group admins for any real or perceived staleness.

^^^ this is true. People here would only use a group or group admin to play matchmaker for them. If the admin doesn’t do the leg work for them and recruit multiple people they are interested in, they won’t show up. Just throw out a bunch of lame, last minute excuses. Not to mention this place is notoriously bad with “feet-draggers” that really only fantasize about being in the lifestyle instead of actually doing it.
That’s not to say there isn’t amazing members here, but they already have their groups which play and party every weekend. If you’re on the outside looking in it’s because you never show up. Seriously just keep showing up and great things will happen. If you’re swinging life sucks it’s because you never show up and keep lying with your lame excuses. It’s your own fucking fault, so stop complaining.

Honestly, the groups feature here is rough. I work in PHP and LAMP so much respect to having built out a successful application. But it seems the groups capability was an after thought. If it was built more like the forums (which isn't really a huge improvement), I think more adoption would happen. The first big step would be having some form of notification on the main page to show recent group postings. Right now, groups require active participation; there is nothing that pulls the member into the groups.

Our group is very active, at least virtually right now. Covid has really taken the wind out of our sails. We haven't been posting on here since we really can't host right now because of the governor's order. We certainly look forward to getting the events going again though.
