Does anyone have any recommendations for and excellent Primary care doctor? Also looking for an OB. The one I had and liked retired :(.

It would be a plus if he/she is not super judgmental if I share things about our lifestyle. I need a doctor not a marriage counselor. Current/previous primary care doc was crappy and judgmental.

Anywhere here in the SLC valley is fine. Even Park City would work if they are worth the drive.
Let me know if you have someone you adore.
A doc could lose his/her license if they take it upon themselves to tell you how to live your life. They are supposed to diagnose, treat and advice you regardless of your moral standards. For example, if you are a male who has anal sex with other males, he/she is supposed to advice you about the risks associated with such practices so you could protect your health. Same goes for smoking, alcohol abuse, poor eating habits and other risky behaviors. They are supposed to advice you against that, not to tell you that you are going to hell for it. That's your pastor's job and only if you allow him/her to give you such advice.

Back in the days, I had a doctor that would advice me against smoking while carrying a pack of Marlboros on his shirt pocket. He was just doing his job. I took his advice not because of the harmful effects of smoking in the body but because I would want to give my kids the same advice without them finding a pack in our house.
Pick a doc who goes to the same church, it is so much fun. My Dr is active in KOC and other catholic activities in a small town and we worked together in the OR on occasion. So he knows my wife has had a hysterectomy and that I had a vasectomy a decade or so earlier and my insurance required me to have my primary physician order a sperm count in order for them to pay. So I just had to tell him that a play partner was pregnant and thought it was mine.
Long story short, pick a DR that you can connect with and trust to treat you properly.

Good luck finding a lifestyle friendly primary care doctor - I like mine and he's non-judgmental; Dr Vernon Liu in Sandy.

Just in case anyone is reading this thread looking for another type of doctor - the best sex, relationship, and Lifestyle coach around is Dr Cari Oneal. Find her at 435.200.5682 or [email protected]
OK - So our Primary Care doc just moved out of state and retired! 😢😒

We would love some recommendations for a new doc. Not interested in IHC because of the fact that several of our neighbors are physicians for them . . . we know they have access to everyone's (all IHC patients) records at IHC and don't want them looking at ours 😁. We tend to be VERY honest with our physicians re: the lifestyle - so we really want someone we can trust with our care.

Our last Doctor was SOOOO excellent - and we felt very confident sharing ALL our info. Would like to find the same level of trust. Concierge would be fine - just not an MDVIP doc because I work with their network professionally.

Thanks everyone.
