OK. We joined a couple weeks ago and paid for a lifetime membership. I've emailed these questions to the Admin account and gotten ZERO response. I emailed one of those certified VIP members who put us in their friends list right away about validation and got no response. So here goes:
1. Does Admin ever answer emails?
2. Why is the club directory all screwed up? Selecting all clubs in a given state results in a MySQL error message and no display.
3. We submitted our club to the directory the day we joined, but it still isn't there. In fact, none of the clubs in our area are there even though the club owners all have profiles here. The one that is there doesn't even exist. When can we expect our club to show up in the directory?
4. Is the email function working at all? We got a few emails the first few days...then nothing...including replies to our mail.
5. Can a VIP validate us without a webcam or meeting in person? We don't have a webcam and the nearest VIP is a single male about 2 hours from here...and we don't meet singles.

The clubs listing thing hasn't worked since we joined, so yeah, its broken and no one has ever said anything about when it'll be fixed.
Email works, but you have to keep in mind that often couples will not reply until both have had a chance to read your message, look over your profile, etc. Many times it will take a while for ppl to get back to you, unless they are on the site all the time. We've sent out a ton of emails since we joined that we've never gotten responses from. We have no hope of every hearing from those ppl, which sometimes makes it awkward when we see those ppl at parties, clubs, etc because we have no idea why they didn't write back. So we don't know if we should just pretend we didn't notice them or fake amnesia and be all friendly like we've never seen them anywhere before, but that's a whole different story.
For a validation by a VIP, those are your only two options. And as for the not meeting singles, you shouldn't have to. VIP is only given to couples (and single females), single males can only be get a Real Validation and they can't validate anyone else. I'll mail you the ones that are closest to you if you'd like.
All you have to do to be validated in person is meet at an arranged public place if that's where you feel most comfortable (ie. mall, restaurant, Walmart) say "Hi, we're so-and-so, could you validate us?" and as long as the person says yes and does it you're done. You are not required to perform, play or do anything else to be validated by such a person.
We have validated several individuals who we have met either at clubs or house parties (some that we have played with after the fact, others we have not), its not a big deal. Ppl just want to know they aren't talking to a single person pretending to be a couple. Or one half of a couple trying to make it look like they play, when its really only that one person who will and the other doesn't want anything to do with it or doesn't even know about it.
