What is the chance to try and weed out old profiles? Seems like most of the profiles, when searching, are old. Most state the last time on as "a few months ago" Maybe remove those profiles that are 6 months old & are profiles that were free.

This has been a major complaint by many. My understanding is that when the operators of this site broke from Playfulswingers they copied all the profiles. Well most of those members did not even give this site a chance, especially the free accounts.
For whatever reason the operators of this site have yet to clean house. It really lowers the quality of this site.
This site could be so much better.

We agree with the both of you completely. We have kept most of the profiles in hopes that some would give the site a chance and be able to use their old profiles. We are finding that the ones who do create a whole new profile anyways. We will be removing all profiles that are six months and older (after our holiday promotion) at the beginning of 2004 and will be implementing a policy that will remove any inactive, free profile after 120 days. All paid accounts will remain on the site and will be removed 120 days after the expiration of the paid account.
How does this sound?

Admin, that sounds great!! Maybe an email to all those inactive from you directly to their sign in email address would help.
BTW what can we as members do to get more people online and using the forums? We find we use other forums much more that are a bit easier to navigate and faster. The site looks great but little activity so we need to help beef it up as well as what you are doing yourself.

Hiya folks. Just a friendly reminder for the Admins...please go ahead with cleaning house and getting rid of all the old profiles...looks like the aug 28 2 pm ones, along with all the "few months ago" ones can go. Lets make this site as current as possible, and then we will see it for the tool it truly is. Everything else seems to work great, keep up the good work.

We agree totally with removing the inactive profiles. There is nothing more disappointing than to browse ,see a profile that really sounds, only to see that they have been inacttive forever.
Thanks addmin. for responding to this minor oversite. We love this site and only want to see it grow. Keep up the good work.

Admin, here's a question though, why did you copy our profiles and other pertinent information from Playful Swingers? Isn't that in fact theft, an invasion of our privacy and copyright infringement on those people who have pictures copyrighted?
GandM, there was a dispute between partners, depends on which one you talk to all the details. Anyway, they both "owned" the profiles so when Swingular was formed it was a natural thing to bring Playful's members aboard. As I understand it there also was some ? on if the Playful site would even be active after these partners left. Hope that helps...
OK now WHERE is the Webby and when is the cleaning process going to happen and please can you answer these post more timely? Thanks...

The question of ownership you talk about is based on who actually owns the site, is it Robyn & Peter's site or was it a true partnership with the admins here. If he was a partner in the sense he was one of the 3 working on the site and had no actual ownership of the site then it is still theft. If he was part of a corporation and had a dispute and left (quit) he is still stealing company information. When we sign up for a site like this we do so willingly, not strong armed into it as they did here. That's why when we heard of the split we immediately emailed the "owners" of this site to remove our profile since we did not sign up for it.
Also, I sent the admins an email a while ago asking about the profile last activity dates and still haven't heard a response.
