The Utah Po Po CLAIM they won't be targeting Utah vehicles returning from Wendover and will only pull you over if there is a traffic violation of some kind. We shall SEE! LOL

It WILL be interesting to see if the powers that be in good ole Utahr change their policy regarding traffic stops now that cannabis will be freely sold almost within sight of the Salt Lake Temple. LOL We've brought back cannabis a number of times from Mesquite without incident and know MANY people from St. George (including many elderly Mormons) who drive down there frequently without any hassle from the cops.
I actually don't like cannabis. It makes me throw up (if I get cancer I'm screwed! lol) but I'd like to maybe get a very low dose of some tincture or edibles to see if it might help my elderly mother and some of her health issues that don't, under Utah's RIDICULOUS laws, qualify for medical cannabis.
Hopefully the feds make it legal then our stupid state won’t have any choice

That WOULD be interesting, wouldn't it? I have a sneaking suspicion that if they ever DID make it legal on a federal level that they would allow states to decide for themselves whether to legalize it or not...otherwise the very religious red states would have a SHIT FIT. LOL

You know the fun bus is gonna be packed. Also, the fun bus said that they are legally obligated to search any brown baggies we bring on....they are basically saying 'if u wanna bring stuff over, u better hide it in your pockets or purse' otherwise we have to bug ya about what's in it

So we DID venture over to West Wendover a few weeks ago one afternoon in the middle of the week and the dispensary was actually pretty crowded (With a LOT of Utah plates in the parking lot!). Didn't notice any more cops than normal on I-80 and certainly nothing like checkpoints or anything remotely like that. Guess they realize it's a done deal and they can't stop EVERYONE! LOL
