Is early October usually too late to rent a houseboat on Lake Powell? Is the water too cold to swim and will any of the fish be within range of my fly rod? I realize the weather is variable and every year will be different, but is it even worth pursuing? Many thanks.
October is a great time and one of the best months to catch a boil of stripers.
The water is usually still warm in October. Just don't do it Gen. Conf. weekend unless you want to be surrounded by people recreating on the lake while pretending to listen to Conf. at full volume over their boat loudspeakers. LOL
