My wife and I are going on a cruise in October out of NY harbor. I'm planning on seeing the Statue of Liberty before then. So question should we land and stay in NY or land and stay in NJ?
We won't have a rental car so Uber and/or Lyft is our transportation(no taxis).
It will be only for a few days before the cruise.

We stayed at the Manhattan in Times Square. You can walk or take the subway pretty much anywhere in the city without a car. Would just have to Uber to to the harbor on the day of the cruise.
