We wish all people affected by the terrible bushfires in southern California all the best and lots of rain soon!

Also things like this are a huge reality check for those that start fires. You must be very carefull. You can't always predict what will happen. I know one of the fires they are fighting was started by a hunter that got losted and he was trying to signal for help.
as a 25 year resident of southern California, it's unbelievable that fires are started like they are. I am also very disappointed in our Federal Government. Knowing that the bark beattle problem killed so many trees, they should have worked to clear out the dead fuel. the lost lives and homes can't be replaced. It would have been much more economical to clear them out than burn down the zillions of acres.

We moved to CA in August from Mississippi..Imagine our shock at seeing this view from our front window..Between the fire, earthquakes and the politics, CA is definitely an interesting place to live. We will be returning to the land of tornadoes, hurricanes and mosquitos in March!:z
