We would love to see an honest and in-depth story done on the lifestyle....but I doubt you'll ever see one. You cannot describe the lifestyle to anyone who is not already biased, have their mind made up it's a bad thing, ot think it's all about sex. And if a news station reported the lifestyle is more wide-spread and accepted than they care to believe, their ratings and sponsors would drop by the wayside.
So the question - how can an honest story be aired? How many men would confess to their wife they've thought about the lifestyle? The same goes for wives talking to their husbands! What about women who are bi curious trying to talk to their significant other about their feelings? When people outside the lifestyle can comminucate openly and honestly with their significant others - then they are open minded enough to listen to a story about the lifestyle and not be judgemental.
But how many couples do you know have those lines of communication open? Not very many. One out of very two marriages ends in a divorce.

I've said this before and I still believe that its the best thing to do.... Drop the subject with the media. What sells for the media? CONTROVERSY...... the more it gets stirred up the more their little antennas are moving......
Let it die a quick death........ If they don't get any response, they will leave it alone.
They want the ratings that the controversy stirs up, if they don't hear any backlash, it will not be worth their effort to do follow up stories.
Lets face it the population in general and especially mormon Utah is not open minded enough to accept the swinging lifestyle.

KSL is filtering what they want us to read on their website(go figure)....I do want to comment on one topic. We do not ask or inquire about our neighbors sex lives (religious or non) it is non of our business just as it is non of their business about our sex lives within the lifestyle.....what we do behind closed doors(hidden lifestyle) should stay that way. We will not change the opinions of others just as they will not change how we feel. We do feel Mrs Fun4 hit the nail right on the head....it is all a ratings game....so why not keep this the TRUE hidden lyfestyle G and K

Gee Mrs Hunt! I guess you missed all the controversy? The fact that Rob, Our Fine administrator was going to meet with KSL! He even took a poll and it was in his favor! Then after most people started to pull all there pictures down. He decides That KSL wont do us or him any Justus. Then he changes his mind once more, Why because they Show up at his house asking to do an interview and shoving cameras in His face. So He does the story and we find out he has done it the day it is supposed to Air. If anyone has read the forum at KSL's web site, you have found out just what our neighbors think of us. For we are disgusting, pedophile, porn mongering, Sexualy addicted, and classed as lower than Pond scum. Ain't one of us worth a "Hill Of Beans In There Eyes". And if the rest of you think that your neighbors are much Better in what ever area you live in, then My friends we are all deluded. I cant really fault Rob. For what is The guy to do, when they stick that camera in your face, you are unable to defend your self let alone your "Lifestyle". Who knows what goes on in their bedrooms? Just because these people choose not to have group sex, does not mean that they do not participate in some very exotic activities that they themselves keep secret. If they are your friends, then they will not judge you, that's the bottom line.
In my opinion, if we are going to choose the lifestyle, we should ALL be prepared to be criticized and disrespected by the conservative sector. We will never change the minds of those who regard the lifestyle as a blight against the institution of marriage and the articles of their religeon, Christianity.
My neighbors are not aware that we swing. It is none of their business. Nor do I inquire about the goings on in their bedrooms! If they were to find out, I would treat them the same. If they chose to treat me differently, I would treat them the same.
If they inquired I would be honest and give them what they could seem to handle when it seemed appropriate. Baby steps.
