Hey all you Utah County people, and others south of SLC.... do you get tired of always having to drive to SLC to meet others and have some fun? We would like to know how many of us southerners there are that might be interested in something in Happy Valley. Lets take a poll and see just who would attend an activity, meet and greet, bbq, whatever if one was scheduled. (You people up North are more than welcome to join in too.... we dont want to cut any of you out if you dont mind the drive).

No offense to the SLC people, but it's very difficult to drive up there all the time.

I am a partner in a night club in downtown Provo..
It has already been mine ..and our pleasure to meet about
half dozen or so couples that have come into my club..all members
of Swingular.
We have found that meeting first at the club is a great icebreaker.
We've talked and got to know each other a bit...danced, played pool..
did Karaoke...its a great way for first meetings just like the spice parties
and other "meets and greets" up in SLC...
Even if we want to have a "private" party sometime..we could close off the
Karaoke room...(which we have done before..like when we had the
"after party" for the "Nelly" concert with Nelly and his grpup..and when we
had Salma Hayak and Peter Fonda and thier film crew, and others)
Anyway....you get the point..

That would be fun. No offense to the club owner, but home thing would be better. Since this Provo. I won't go to club in Provo for simple fact, 15 cop's around when it closes and you are kicked out even if you are not sober. Then they nail you for public intox or DUI. Don't believe me! drive through center street about 1AM on friday or Saturday and you will see.
We have had a few real good ideas given to us... if enough people are interested.. we will investigate what it would take to make it happen.. Just let us know.

How does a Saturday or Sunday in early May sound to everyone?
Since we live in Orem, we would totally be down for something in Utah County.

A bring your own lunch type of greet and meet at a park somewhere here in the Provo, Orem area.
We will find a park with BBQ facilities
We will provide some soft drinks and snacks for everyone
Proposed Date either Saturday May 13 or May 20
Time about 2 in the afternoon
(Kids would be welcome.. this would be just the chance to put faces to profiles)
Additional suggestions and assistance is very welcome
(we will reserve a pavillion just for the group so there will be restrooms and tables)

we like all of the above suggestions, with our preference being the 20th.

Well, I would not be able to come. I can't enter Utah county because I don't have my temple recommend so I can't cross the SLC/Utah County line.
