We've had this discussion a few times with each other, and agreed that some fantasies once explored do become mundane, and no longer desirable. However, others seem to linger no matter how many experiences we have.

It can happen. Unfortunately, dreams/fantasies and reality don't always mix so well. On the other hand, where would you be if you never chased any of your dreams ... just in case.
Sometimes you need to go for it and deal with the "can of worms". At least you can say you tried and move on to the next great thing. Besides .... It's so much fun when it all works.
