We agree with the responses here on the definitions. Although we have come across some couples that also consider full swap seperate rooms as well as intercourse. So we make sure we always clarify what full and soft swap mean, just so there are no suprises and we always respect the others couples limits. Like Destin we dont understand ones that saywe dont waste our time with fulls or softies. Its all about meeting new people getting naked, in most cases, and having fun!!
The definition you gave is the same as ours. In regard to different rooms we consider that a seperate subject and is not related to full or soft.

For us the terms are relative to our situation. We are open to intercourse, but there have been many times where we fool around, maybe not even any oral with the other couple and end up having sex with our own partner and simply watching the others.
We've found that sometimes, even if we are completely attracted to the other couple, we just don't feel like using a condom, so sex with your own partner is just the answer.

The definitions seem right on target for us we willsoft swap but they go to the back of the list the female half of this cpl likes a good hard fuck she gets it from me all the time so when we meet with others we like full swap its not that we won't soft swap its just that by the time we meet withall the FULL SWAP cpls it leaves hardly any time for the SOFTIES LOL. Hmmmm, we've had a ~lot~ of fun 'soft swapping' before. Kinda a throwback to the old 'dating' days as a teenager. You know, where you date and date and date, and each time together, you go further and further, until finally you seal the deal. Always made it more worthwhile, I suppose, since there was so much buildup to that point.
That being said, I'd prefer a 'soft swap' to start, then one that could lead into 'full swap' eventually. I don't think I'd want to meet a couple who was totally closed to full swap, but you know it's hard to say that since we're in it for both the fun and the connections.
The more interesting questions for my wife and me is -- separate rooms or not, and separate swinging or not...

Gotta agree with Lizzie and Tall here. Not much fullfilment in soft swap. It's fun to watch and to go oral, but the real deal is in the real deal. In our opinion anyway.
