I RECENTLY CONTACTED A SINGLE FEMALE HERE ON SWINGULAR... THEY ADDED ME TO THIER MESSENGER ON YAHOO... WHEN I TRIED TO SPEAK TO HER.. NOT ONLY WAS SHE NOT SINGLE (SHE WAS PART OF A COUPLE) NO BIG DEAL, THEN SHE SAID IT.....SHE DOES NOT SEE "COLORED" PEOPLE.... WELL LAST TIME I CHECKED WE ARE ALL "COLORED', SOME OF US BLACK, SOME ARE WHITE AND IN BETWEEN...SAD TO SEE THERE IS STILL PREJUDICE IN THIS WORLD......
Yes that is sad that people are still like that. To bad you were not closer I would love to see you
Just remember people like that they are the ones losing out. Take Care and dont let the few lemons ruin the whole batch.

Could of been said by her a bit more tastefully, But it is a matter of preference to what they find attractive. Most of us here are looking for a sexual meeting and everyone has their likes and dislikes physically.
Yes, that's really a sad situation. However, we've encountered the same type behavior. You would hope that this being the type of site that it is, there would be an open attitude by all.
It is sad to say that what you experienced is only a part of the prejudice that exist on this and many more websites like this in this lifestyle. not only will your color be an issue also your gender and your sexual orientation also be a factor in the choices you will have here in swingular.
The majority of the people here single or couples are nice people but they have listed there desired play mates, those that really want you to join them will let you know and it will be real, others will only toy and lead you on with the promise of a fullfilling evening or meetig that will never happen. Don't get discouraged, just build a circle of real friends that you are comfortable with.
The prejudices will never die but you will evolve and pass those with them to a higher level of human understanding. I guess there is a whites only site like this somewhere if ot maybe someone will start one and we can nhave a site where the color of your skin will not be a factor just the size of your compassion and the quality of the sex you offer both male and female

Thanks for all the responses... I know everyone has different tastes and preferences and I respect them. I just wanted to share my experience with everyone...and despite what everyone thinks we are all one race....the human race.
P.S. I'm an equal opportunity lifestyle man.

I love people of all color... as a matter of fact most of us light colored individuals are always trying to get color with spray tans, sunbathing, etc... LOL!
Unfortunately, a lot of people do have likes, dislikes, stereotypes, etc... just smile and move on as they are the ones losing opportunities to explore and enjoy.
Just never be angry, it won't do you any good.
Have fun everyone.

Oooh TommyB1963 There is Prejudice of all races. The wife has a string of "Colored men" I don't like using the word COLORED!! Your African American that she play's with all the time. We co host parties and we have African American's at are parties all the time. But we have never been able to get a african american couple to come to a party or to play with us on a couple two couple. Because it was there lose not ours, and there our so many other couples or singles out there. So don't cry over spilt milk. Wipe it up and move on. Life is to short to put your self through this. Your going to find that there are people in this life style that are prejudice againt all races but there own. That's life so stop throwing the race card out there and enjoy the life style while you can.
I think I would have asked what color of colored people they don't like. I've got a weird sense of humor anyway... I might have added that I'm Cherry Vanilla with chocolate chips and walnuts. Well that's a flavor and maybe a color...
I've been color blind since I was 10 or 11. I don't remember about color before that... Nobody talked about color in my world in the early 50's.
Be well and just remember that some people miss out because they only like strawberry or anly like neopolitan icecream as well as other things....

I like that quote.
It's really sad in this day and age that the same fight that has been fought for many years still burns so brightly in some of us, however don't let the lack of exploration of those with such narrow minds stand in the way of the reason we are all here and that's to meet folks who want to; and to have a shit load of FUN!!!!!! I'm new to the site and looking for some friends to chat with. I'm a single male in North Carolina. Thanks 4 reading.
I understand how you felt. But like has been said, in here it's only a preference. There are those who don't like that I'm hairy or I'm not "big" enough, or not bi, or too thin, or too fat, not muscled enough, have peircings. You can't let it bother you.
As to using "colored people" I have known several who don't like being call African American telling me that it's dumb and insulting and asking if I want to be called European American? "We are all Americans" they say, and I must say that I cannot disagree with them.
It's hard to know what to use without risking insulting anyone. My brother inlaw is bi-racial. He changes what he calls people all the time and it's okay for him for the obvious reasons. But he also doesn't care how he is described which, for such a young man, is something I respect and find admirable. I have had several people as friends and co-workers who were many different shades from very light to so dark you'd have to have your hand on their back in the dark or you'd lose them for sure. (OMG... and this one friend has SO many damn jokes about how dark he was you'd piss yourself laughing!) I never cared what color they were.
Since a very young boy I have always tried to make sure I do as I heard at a young age, and from a man I admire greatly to this day... to judge someone not by the color of their skin but by the quality of their character. It's something I teach my children. So I just stopped worring about it. I'm "white" and it is one of a million colors that are out there and hundreds of descriptives for my body or looks and if it's used to describe me so what. Life is too short to worry about it. All I do is ask or avoid it for people I don't know. Shelli isn't generally attracted to people who aren't white. (See... like that) She was raised in a bi-racial home after her parents divorced and is not prejudiced about it. She just is attracted by what she is attracted to. If and when someone who falls outside her normal preferences comes along it will be a different matter.
We all have preferences and we should respect them. And we should be more understanding of how difficult it is to know what to say when referencing a skin color. It's not easy to keep from offending someone and each generation has it's prefered term.
I wish it was like when I was in elementary school. It didn't matter because skin color was just whatever is was in art class and nothing bad was implied. Lol
Aj

thats sad im 45 Bi would love to try "colored" people
Taboo?

I don't use the term "colored" but I do understand why many do. After all the primary organization for african americans, blacks, colored or whatever referred to by many of our friends is the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People"... Change the name and maybe eventually the stigma will go away.
Some people suck dude. Not to much you can do about it. You want to meet people that is why you joined. There is always an asshole around.
