A person recently learned they were non-consenually recorded, because the video was offered for distribution. The problem gets bigger when you find out they filmed many guests, who knows how many without their knowledge or Consent.
The home owner/party host/videographer violated these laws:
Utah Code Title 76, Chap 9, Part 7 Section 702.7, Voyeurism Offenses- Class A Misdemeanor to use a camera or recorder to tape a person without their knowledge of the taping. Next is Utah Code Title 76, Chap 10, Part 12 Section 122, distribution of Pornographic film, by sharing that video or offering to share that video without..., you get the idea, 2 Class A Misdemeanors, and I am sure an energetic DA could find more.
Hosting a party does not give one the right to record activities without complete knowledge and consent of all involved.
Names will not be publically released, but it is not one of the Big Party Hosts.
Hopefully bringing awareness of this incident will ensure this illegal activity stops and the hosts film collection will be promptly erased, for their own safety.

I hope that we have more mature people in the lifestyle. Someone who videotapes without consent is breaking the law.
I'd ask what is wrong with people that they do this to others who trusted them, but I don't think any of us have that kind of time. That is seriously, mentally messed up.
Yes that is totally uncool, there was a couple house that we used to attend parties at and there house had cameras all over the house, they would say it was for there protection of there house and things inside the house
if you can not trust the people in your house dont invite them
if you can not trust the people in your house put all your Valuable stuff away
if you cant trust the people in your house dont have parties
I have house parties almost every month and put it on the local parties for all to show up or RSVP, so far we always have a great time and meet new people at every party.
NO we do not have any cameras around our house and I dont even like pictures being taken at parties.

Filming and taking pictures at parties is one of the reasons we tend to stay away from any local house parties or swinger events.
The only way that is acceptable is with express consent from all involved, and then for personal viewing only.
Does this mean I get to add Porn Star to my Resume?
I have to agree filming with out consent, even when you may have given it before is not cool. ALL should be asked before each and every encounter. Feeling as host, I can do as I please does have it's limits.

To a person doing this consent is a thing that is beneath them and for others to worry about.
Risque Soiree- We don't normally post in the forum, but as host we have to chime in. We have been hosting events for 11yrs now, with great success. We have paid photographers at every large event. Also most of our large events are in public venues. Our guests enjoy being able to view event photos that are in a protected gallery on our web site. The same goes with any video that we have taken. But we can assure everyone that we have no hidden cameras at our events. If someone doesn't want their photo taken simply tell the photographer. They have been instructed to delete any photos that are not wanted. We realize privacy in number one, especially in the state we live in. LOL We pride ourselves in creating a safe space for all of our guests. We just attended a local event where they were filming without consent and we made them delete the footage. If anyone attends a party and notices a hidden camera, you should approach the host immediately. The Hosts are violating your rights of privacy and this should not be tolerated. Let's keep this lifestyle safe and fun.

Actually even with consent, it is still seriously illegal, where there is an intent to distribute. If it is just on social media (yeah right like it will stay just in that domain.) but is of an explicit and adult nature, the laws in many states are clear. For legitimate distribution, you have to jump through all kinds of hoops, model consent information and all the crap the pro porno folks have to do before they can even put their products up is ridiculous, then and only then would it be legal to distribute those videos or pics with consent.
You say that you are not going to name, the perps, but it is a serious law that has been broken and you should report it to the authorities. That will be the only way to stop this through the community. Hell you may even be able to sue them for damages. It is not right to give them the shield of privacy. I am not saying reveal them to the site, but do put them to a stop to this behavior. Report all illegal activity. PLEASE.

Great. Not only do we have to worry about being roofied at parties but now also some asshat wearing a Go Pro surreptitiously peeking out from his faux Chinchilla thong.
We hold house parties once a month and we would NEVER video anyone with out consent ever. That is not ok for anyone to tape anyone else with out consent. C&L
You can't trust anyone. They lie cheat and now make movies. There are to many lowlifes in the lifestyle. Its all down hill from here. To put cameras around the house to video the sex party is cheesey. People be careful out there. SICKOS
