We are planning a trip from Vegas to Phoenix mid September - driving the route that passes Zion and Bryce Canyon. It'll be out first time in the area - any advice on things to see and do. Would two days be enough to get a good overview of the place? Thanks!!!
If you need a place to stay, we have Vacation Rentals. VRBO It's Sunny in St George
Calf Creek Falls is in the area of Bryce Canyon which we recommend the hike, gorgeous. Rainbow point trail and horseback ride into Bryce Canyon is amazing. Zions we recommend hiking Angels Landing and Hidden Arch trails both have quite the views and just spectacular and kinda nerve racking. This time of year we wouldn't recommend the narrows unless you know for certain no rain is forecasted anywhere near the area. Have a great time.

We would echo the trails and activities that have been mentioned. If you are up for it, there are bike rental places just outside of Zion. The ride up and back in Zion is not to bad and riding a bike means you don't have to rely on the shuttles.
There is a great place to stay at Bryce Canyon. It's called Ruby's Inn lots to see and can accommodate any budget.
Angel's Landing is a must do hike if you only have one day in Zion. You should also at least go up and take a look at the Narrows, but as Mrs, AandR suggests beware of late summer thunderstorms. If you have an extra day after seeing Bryce and you should take US89A and see the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Its just as spectacular as the South Rim with a fraction of the visitors.
Sounds like a beautiful place to visit and/or a great couples weekend activity. Hint...hint! :)
Navajo loop at bryce canyon is easy and gorgeous
Get to Zion's as early as possible, parking and the line for the shuttle buses can be intense.
My girlfriend and i stayed at thousand lakes rv campgrounds with my dads motorhome towing our Harleys behind and stayed there for nine days.
we were only going to stay for three days but there was so much to see and the people were fantastic.
we would have stayed longer but we had reservations at the buffalo chip in Sturgis sd
you will really enjoy it plan to visit awhile
