My perspective is perhaps a little unique as I decided myself to get circumcised. My parents chose not to circumcise me as an infant and it was tough growing up in an era where it was done almost universally. I was the only kid I knew growing up who was different down there. It wasn't as big of a deal as an adult until we started swinging. In general, most swingers didn't think it was a big deal (I was always meticulous about my hygiene) and some of the women even enjoyed very much the novelty as many had never seen an uncut cock. Ultimately, about 15 years or so ago, I decided to get circumcised. I'm both glad I did it AND regret it as my penis is far less sensitive now. A dirty penis seems to be more a product of general bad hygiene versus a man being cut or uncut. My hubby of 20+ years is uncut and we have never had a problem with this. I have had several encounters with both cut and uncut. I have never had an uncut man that wasn't fanatically clean. My first experience and many after was with a cut man. I did not have experience with uncut for a long time. I don't think it biased my opinion at all.It is all a matter of preference.
As far as sensitivity is concerned, it's like anything else. Anything that's exposed to more contact with whatever will become less sensitive, and if it's circumcosed it's in constant contact with something unless the guy's naked. If it isn't circumcised, the foreskin protects it from contact with clothing, si it stays as sensitive as it was to start. Unfortunately, I was born when circumcision was routinely performed on all male babies. I never saw an uncut cock until I was in the Army, and even then it was rarity.
