I am 'just a single guy' to many here, however I have had success with what you are talking about. Several years ago KOIGIRL, who isn't active anymore, posted a party invite and I hosted. We had gone to parties and it seemed like nothing happened until someone got drunk and then the shit hit the fan.
We held a party where there were 8 couples plus me and Koi. Every couple spent 15-20 minutes getting to know everyone else. It was very comfortable and after an hour and a half, the talking turned into debauchery (for those who were interested). This isn't the only way to do it, but I will say this. Every one was naked, not all together, but same room until groups split off. Also, most all of the alcohol was still there.
We met swingers from before the internet to first time players..... It's a good idea! Best of luck!
