We are looking to take a vacation early next year. Here is a generalization of the resorts we have online. Feel free to add anything you want including pros/cons of each place. Also, is there a listing of which people are attending which vacations?

Hedo 2: Jan 16-23. $440-650 per night per couple. Ave age around 45
Total with flight and 8 nights: $5220 or $652/night

Talum Mexico resort: March 5-19, $340-600 per night/couple. Age 45

Desire RM Cancun March 5-12, $678+ per night/couple. Age ?
Total with flight and 7 nights: $6346 or $906/night

Hedo 2 Young Week March 19-26, $400-640 per night/couple, Age 34
Total with flight and 9 nights: $5700 or $633/night

Eastern Caribbean Cruise April 16-23 (St Marteen, Puerto Rico, Bahamas)
$270-1100 per night, Age 37
$680 for all inclusive drink
Total with flight and 7 nights: $4850 or $692/night (interesting the most expensive of the cheaper places, per night, that is)

My impression of the resorts from research (not first hand, as we have never been)..

Temptations: Club atmosphere, singles welcome, only topless allowed at pools, moderate accomodations

Hedonism: Mostly Couples and more of a LS resort, nudity allowed, moderate accommodations

Desire: Exclusive to couples, nudity allowed, nicest of the resorts

Cruise: Still have to pay for alcohol, smaller rooms, a little cheaper if on a budget and there appear to be a lot of people going on these, possibly because of the cheaper cost.
All of January at the desires resorts is international swingers month. We are going Jan 9-16th. On all the other LS sites there is travel calendars. Not on here though.
We are going to Desire RM on Jan 13-17.
And why did you choose desire over the others?
Erda has a pretty nice RV park and it's WAY cheaper than Hedo. It's not all inclusive but you can buy a 30 can case of Bud Light at the Walmart in Tooele and that'll last ya at least a day or two.
We have been to Hedo 2 already, and a takeover resort in Tulum. Now we are trying desires RM.
How was the Talum resort compared to Hedo and how was Hedo as far as quality?
We have a group going to Hedo II next September they have made a lot of upgrades to the resort and continue to make more improvemens. We also have a cruise going in April and Naughty in Nawlins in July. We have been to all the resorts mentioned above and they all have thier pros and cons so it comes down to an individual taste. Feel free to contact us personally for any more info on any of the resorts and or our group trips.
Tulum was fun and totally 5 star, but a lil too laid back. In our opinion Hedo 2 is fun and wild but the food and rooms are not worth the money you pay. So now we will try Desires
Been to Temptations, been to Hedo, just got back from Desire Pearl. Our first visit there. We are already planning a trip back. We have traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean - this was our favorite trip EVER! Not just because of the accommodations. Send us an email and we'll send you our contact info. Too much to write about - but our recommendation would be Desire . . .
take us with you
Desires is obviously the nicest of them all, but not sure we can justify the 2k more for it. Also, we have a group of friends who might want to go and we don't want to discourage them from going with the high price of Desire. I wonder if the renovations at Hedo will make it any better?
And ITsFunTryingNew, you are always welcome to join. It would be fun to have our own Swingular takeover. Anyone else interested???

We booked ours 7 nights 8 days direct flight both ways for 5k. You can find some descent deals out there.
I think if we went to Desire we would definitely want to do it during a takeover or group thing. I think it would spice the activity up a little.

Yes the renovavations have made a big improvement to Hedo and most of the couples that went last September are on swingular and we would love get get more going. The reason we go in September is because it's considered off season so the pricing is a lot cheaper.
We are going to Los Cabos in February or March and would love to travel with a fun couple. A lot of profiles say "Love to Travel" if its true, contact us.
We have never been to any swinger resort. We want in!

Been trying to do my research (OCD helps with that) and from what I can tell your concerns are probably not a lot to worry about as far as creepers and such. After reading reviews and talking to many different couples, it sounds like the atmosphere at most places is a safe and mostly respectful one. I haven't heard a lot of complaints about people being overly aggressive or a nuisance. Obviously you have control over your own body and if you are firm with most people I don't think it should be much of an issue. You might see some things you might not want to ( one person told me of the 350 pound guy who was naked walking around with an ice cream cone and an "innie" for a weiner, all the while checking out the hot women. Creeper material? For certain. But dangerous or uncontrollable, nah. And as far as people buying the packages, if you purchase through a site and go with a group, only that group is allowed into the activities, something I think is worth paying extra for. Also, it allows you to see who is going prior to the trip and you can chat and make some acquaintances before you even meet in person. As far as sex and having people around you don't want there, that's easy. Just go back to your room. If you are having sex in public then I think you are basically giving everyone a thumbs up to watch. In short, haven't heard the horror stories of the "sociopath" though as with any party, even our Vanilla parties, some people do drink too much. Life happens and all you can do is control yourself and limit your interaction with the Cray-Crays.
The nicest resorts are the Desire. It sounds more like a nudest colony at times so I don't think we would go unless there were a takeover. If you want to walk around naked, have the best accommodations and MAYBE get to play, I'd try Desire. If you want a party scene with lots of swingers, Hedo or a cruise. The majority of people who go are swingers, so a lot of opportunity to play. If you just want a fun place to go topless and and maybe meet some swingers, Temptations is cheaper, but only about 20-30% if the guests are in the lifestyle, so the chances of you finding someone you really connect with is reduced. The cruise has thousands of people, so the best chance of meeting all kinds of people, but I hear it can be overwhelming. It sounds like on a cruise, to make the best of it, you need to be outgoing, talk to a lot of people and not care about the older, less-fit crowd mixing in. There are a lot of super hot people on the cruises as well. Just a huge mixing bowl of peeps. Anyway, there is my ramble. I think we have settle on Young Swingers week in April at Hedo2 or the Cruise. Not sure yet.
Does anyone who's gone to Desire RM have any advice about the theme nights? Do most people participate? We will be there next Wednesday - Sunday. Excited to go, but wondering if it's a big deal if we don't do all of the theme nights. Also, any other input/advice about anything else from those who have been would be appreciated.
We are going to Temptations for the first time (to any type of resort like that) March 5th-13th. We are excited and hope to have a few experiences of our own down there. :)
We would prefer to go to SMI in California. No great beaches, but the price is a fraction of Hedo type resorts. Plus it is close and completly swinger friendly. Well, actually clothing is not allowed to be worn in the hot tums, around the hot tub or pool area. You can wear clothing in your room.

We love the carribean and there are so may empty beaches to get naked on why pay the ^400+ for an expensive resort.

We will eb taking a rather vanella cruise starting saturday. Carnival Valor, however every island has beaches where we will shed the clothes and have a great day.

We've been to Sea Mountain, and while there are nice aspects to it there were some major drawbacks. Very small resort (15 rooms). The food provided at the resort is the worst (generic oreos, popcorn, grocery store fried chicken, ect.) They will order food for you, however it is things like pizza and sandwiches (at inflated prices). And not much in the area to eat besides fast food, unless you drive 45 minutes to Palm Springs. It's in a residential neighborhood. They offer a "villa", which is simply the house across the street.
Do you go for the food. We like smi because we can fly into Palm Springs. Leave the plane with no ramp fees and take a cab to smi. We take one carry on with just toys, alcohol, mand mixers in it and only the clothes on our back. Total time from Our door to SMI 5 hours. Though we hav had to stop for fuel when the weather was terrible in the LA area to make sure we had plenty in case we were required to hold for hours to get an approach.

We don't go for the food, but one does have to eat. And when we're vacationing, we like better options then driving down the block to Wendy's. It is good for what it is, but I have hopes that Desire is nicer.
We'll be at Desire Pearl January 18-22 and then headed to Crash my Playa for a weekend (22nd-26th) of music, beaches and beers. If anyone is going to Crash my Playa let us know.

Unless you're doing a cruise takeover, Desire is our fav by far as well.
once we arive we take our clothes off and do not put them abck on until we are heading home. I guess we are not that picky the ordered out food works for us. For us it is that oprotunity to drink like sailors so food is not a big priority.
we always do the the theme nights, mainly because Amy is a ham and loves it! We are ready for desires in 3 days!!!!
There has been a small hotel takeover here in Utah in WB/Btfl across from the 5th. The last time we went the local PD got called. Than it got moved to Ogden. Now it's moved all the way to Pocotello.
Most the promoters I know wont do local anymore since there is all ways 1 or 2 couples that get the PD called out.

Theme nights are a big deal at Desire RM and everyone is pretty much into it to a point ... at least they are during the social hours leading up to the opening of the nightclub at 10. Starting about 8 p.m. everyone informally gathers in the common area, costumes are paraded, selfies taken, alcohol is consumed and the flirting and flashing is over the top. Then about 10 p.m. some move up to the night club (and the playroom has a playroom just off the dance floor) while others (guessing maybe 30 to 40 percent) move back to the pools and hot tubs for more private encounters. Our experience is there is a whole lot more action on the open air beds around the hot tub after 10 p.m. than in the disco/playroom. Then again, we are not ones to be scoping out the bar scene at 1 a.m. IMHO if you are still looking at 1 a.m. then then you probably missed your perfect hookup 'cause they were down in the hot tub with us.

The knock on Desire (both RM and Pearl) is the nightlife just isn't wild enough. Maybe true to a point, but that is why we keep going back to Desire. It really depends on what you are looking for. If you want to dance and go crazy, then Hedo is certainly better and more "juiced up" on adrenaline and other substances not tolerated here. If you want to hot tub naked with 12 of your newest best friends at 1 a.m. and take the party to someone's private suite AND still remember their names in the morning, then Desire has many more opportunities for that.

We have done Hedo, the cruise thing, and Desire RM a few times. Never done Pearl, not yet anyway. By far, for our personalities, Desire is the best of the best.
Anyone heading to Vegas for the Dirty Vegas Winter Edition / AVN Awards Jan. 20th - 24th, 2016?
We've been to both Desires and it was fun. Both have excellent accommodation and fun theme nights. We also been to several cruises and prefer them best. We're not one to hang out at the beach all day and the cruise allows us to see some sights. The food is great and they do offer drinks packages for $65/person/night. The cruises also have theme night parties daily and shows.
We have done Naughty in Nawlins the last 2 years and we feel it offers a good value for the money. The fee per couple is approximately $500 and the hotel is about $170 per night with tax per couple. It is a complete hotel takeover located 2 blocks from Colettes (one free pass included) and in the French quarter. We like it because we can participate as much as we want and go exploring in the French quarter vanilla style when we want. They claim to have about 500 couples attend with classes and parties galore. Of course we can drive from Houston and that offers a great advantage for restaurants and getting there cheaply.
