Saw this piece on Food Waste on John Oliver's show on HBO. There is a TREMENDOUS amount of perfectly good food wasted because it's too costly for producers to get it into the mouths of the hungry. Wondered if anyone had any connections that we could exploit to stop this tragic waste. Check out the video.

Apparently the video loader isn't working so here's the link:

Food Waste in the U.S.
I AGREE THAT FAR TOO MUCH FOOD IS DISCARDED AND THAT IS SAD. I wish there was a better use of perfectly good food.

I TAKE OFFENSE to the short clip of the mother and her children eating McDonalds and complaing that they do not have enough food to eat. A family of four, and if she is a single mom not working, would qualify for close to $600 a month in food stamps so to speak. I would challange anyone on here to attempt to purchase $600 in food at a grocery a month. Not possible. We have a family of 4. We only eat organic foods and do not come close. And that is with always having multiple different fruits available on the ocuner at all times for the rug rats to eat.

In my youth I lived on the state dole and we ate great. steaks, name brand ice cream, soda pop, candy. All fall under the program. What I do know is that food cards are sold for half cash value. Then the families are forced to go to food banks for food.

Here in Utah no family would ever go without food. There is the LDS church that will provide any family with food stuffs without a bishop order by going to welfare square. Also you can go to Catholic Community Charities and receive food.

So while I love John oliver, he clearly was attempting to put a liberal slant on the problem. I am sure all us serious republicans on here share the same view.

And as always, i do not check for grammer and spelling on a sex site as we are not worrying about such things while all are naked in the hot tub.

Oh for fuck's sake! Yeah let's make hungry kids into a fucking political football. Why don't you go play in Rush Limbaugh's sandbox for a while. He looks pretty fucking malnourished. *smh*
We have a little and might be able to scrounge a tad more but nothing huge.
But I also have a nice handtruck and a strong back.
