I am not a drinker. I'm not against it - just don't do it. So I need some advice. When we have been with other couples or friends in the lifestyle I get a little nervous. I have been told that a little alcohol will help calm the nerves. What is the best drink to drink that will do the job quickly and will taste good for a newbie like me?
Strongbow or Redd's would be good although probably not as fast as a mixed drink.
I like a sweet "Bearded Clam"... shaken , not stirred! Mmmm! .."Nectar of the Gods!" ;)
Relax! if you feel you need alcohol then perhaps the situation isn't right. Though I find a nice Grand Mernier is awful tasty and warm.
Mojito's are so good they can be dangerous, you can't taste the rum at all, if you are not a drinker please just start with A drink, don't over do it.....or don't drink at all, nervousness is normal.
TJ
... I'm surprised the Penis Colada isint a bigger hit with the gals.. ;) I like a good stiff "Nipples and Cream" every so often myself.. ;)
Back in the day, when we were swing (and alcohol) virgins we'd sit outside a house party or swing club sipping a few Bartles and James white wine coolers to summon up the courage to go inside. I don't think you can buy them in Utah anymore...too many kids somehow scoring them and drinking them on Saturday night and then fucking up the Sacrament prayer on Sunday morning. You can get pretty much the same thing by getting a bottle of white wine, maybe a pinot grigio or a dry riesling and adding Sprite or 7Up to taste. Cheers!

Thank you for your support.

Angry balls --- Angry Orchard beer and a shot of Fireball. Watch out you will only taste the cinnamon and will sneak up on you
Another one that goes down REALLY easy but sneaks up on you REALLY fast is Diet Rock Star with Tuaca. Be very careful with this one if you're not used to drinking.
Moscow Mule!
Ms. loves Fireball. though i would like to dry it in angry orchard as was suggested a few posts ago. Mr. is more a fruity cocktail.

Dude, your wife just called you a "fruity cocktail"! At very least you should make her sleep on the couch tonight!
Love Fireball or Buttershots
Any respectable home bar should have bourbon, rum, vodka, gin, tequila, bitters, dry vermouth and just a sampling of beers, best bet seasonal craft beer samplers. To narrow that down bourbon and vodka can pretty much make half the mixed drinks you'll be asked to make. They can also be combined with cheap and easy mixers well. Bourbon and coke and vodka and sprite or orange juice and you have a fine drink.
Thanks you sexy swingers! Love the advice and the information.
Bartles and James berry for the wife when we 1st started and now just water and for myself nice coffee and evil they moved it to the state store so the hobos have to come up with more $$ for a fix.
Girl Juice gives me a terrific high
It depends on the quality of your bartender. A good one can make a long island ice tea taste just like regular ice tea & pack a punch. A number of rum punches can also taste just like fruit juice & pack a good punch. Mellon balls are pretty easy. Then there is also a little drink called a French Leg Spreader...

Nope, sorry. All of them (including the "berry for the wife") in Utah is malt based now. True WINE based wine coolers are not sold in Utah. In fact someone once told me they're not sold in Nevada either. The malt based coolers have more sugar and artificial flavors in them. I propose we start an armed insurrection, storm the capital and tie up Gary Herbert and threaten to have a bi swinger dude play with his old Mormon homophobic junk until he agrees to let the DABC import REAL Bartles and Jaymes wine coolers. Also, he needs to keep his greedy realtor/developer hands off the state prison and save the taxpayers a shitload of money to move it to an area that he and his cronies don't want to build upscale homes and shopping centers in. And yes I started happy hour a little early today.

Don't try a Long Island for your first foray into drinking...unless you want to end up praying to the porcelain god...or passed out in the back of some creepy creepster's van.
Sounds like I'm going to do a wine run from Boise, ID now since they still sell them up there as of 3 weeks ago.
Orange vodka in oj no alcohol taste!
Crown and coke

As I said,

I usually get wine coolers and fill the empty space at the top with everclear. Cheap and gives it that extra kick in the pants it needs.
Bourbon on the rocks
Absolute (Vodka) and Cranberry Juice. Be careful with the alcohol if you're using it just relax and calm you nerves. It causes limp dick syndrome. You may fix one problem just to cause another.
A good Margarita! Tequila almost always does the job. However, it does turn some people into assholes!

This is a great drink. For those that like Fireball if you mix it with Rumchata it is a cinnamon toast crunch, yummy!
Sky and Red Bull, as Golden girl says too many of these could cause unwanted side effects.

Are you calling Evil a Hobo? Now that's just mean.
