Swingers Forum - You're TRYING to Get A Medical Disorder

Well, I suppose you probably aren't, at least not nowadays. But did you know that in Victorian times, one of the medically defined and generally accepted medical disorders was having an orgasm? At least for women. I can't see how they could have called it a disorder for men, not if they wanted the human race to continue on. And at least as late as the 1960s there were still an all too large number of mothers who would give their soon to be married daughters "the talk", in which they explained about sex and how it was the husband's right and how the wife would just have to put up with it as an inescapable duty of marriage. An attitude which was the reason that, for so long, there was no such thing, legally, as rape by a woman's husband.

But the Victorians were sort of partly right. PGAD (Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder) is a real, but rare (estimated at 1% of young women), so far incurable medical condition which can cause a woman to have dozens of uncontrollable orgasms every day. Or can cause constant sexual arousal which is not relieved by orgasm. http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/009262301317081115

As of 2014, there were no reported cases of the same thing in males except for 2 cases associated with Restless Leg Syndrome, but in August of that year the first male case, someone without RLS or any other disorder, was reported. So either men don't get it, or maybe we just don't see it as a problem and don't go to a doctor about it. http://www.hindawi.com/journals/criu/2015/465748/
Historically accurate yet something to make you say HUH? Another thing that should be put is that the vibrator was created by a French psychologist in 1734 to treat women with hysteria. Symptoms included ongoing anxiety, irritability, and a bloated stomach. The prescribed treatment was a "pelvic massage" to induce "hysterical paroxysm" -- basically, an orgasm, which would supposedly restore the woman to full health. This idea wasn't patented until 1891 by a Swedish doctor by the name of C.H. Liedbeck This method was used worldwide until the early 20th century. In 1906 a centrifugal 'massager' replaced the vibrator (looks much like the Hitachi wand) because of the stigma placed on inserting foreign objects in the vagina was considered dirty and wrong. So massaging the external parts of the vagina was acceptable for treating hysteria, bloating, anxiety, and irritability. These methods were decided to be morally wrong in the mid 20's; and it was suggested by medical professionals that men should give their wives this 'treatment' in the privacy of their own homesat least twice a week. So men, do your duty and give your partner an orgasm at least twice a week, their health may depend on it
